Hehe yes I think so, from the same seller anyway. He asked her to relist it and no one bid again I think, got so lucky! I'm under the impression she may have had another, because she said she gave us a lower number edition than what she'd intended? I dunno. I'd given up on him, hehe. Did they issue the Louis and Claudia ones, do you know? That would be sweet. Louis was always my fav but this doll, I dunno, I guess it's because he looks like my characters, only with blond hair. (Wow that makes me sound like a narcissist like Lestat lol) But it's just neat when you see something that looks like your imagination. It's pretty amazing she even had two since these are so rare.. I'm kinda curious lol. If you find out let me know... 'tis a mystery! ^^

they do have Louis and Claudia ones but they are limited editions of 50 released. I have been looking endlessly for them for about 8 years now and "what had i heard? not a whisper" (sorry a line from IWTV, i had a little nerd moment there lol)so ya those particular dolls are near impossible to find, and if u are lucky to catch a glimpse of one they will probably be well in the high hundreds if not thousands.
and i know EXACTLY what u mean about the characters, it kinda gives u a little thrill when u find one (like for me i found cain from nightwalker, only after i had been doing my hair the same as his for years before i even KNEW about him LOLZ)

Armand has always been my favorite character though, no idea why, i just fell in love with him @ 1st site
(ever seen Death in Venice?, Tadzio is the person Armand was based off of for Anne Rice )

I love Death in Venice, I'd heard that, is it true she based him on Tadzio? I wasn't sure if she did or it was a rumor... that is so neat, he's beautiful, I can see why. Such a strange story but I love it, it got me reading some of Thomas Mann, so weird hehe. I bet you'd make a great Lestat, (or Marius really, you kind of have that easy friendly way about you) I already think of you as him from your profile pic, isn't that funny? Hehe. Between you and the doll I'm starting to like Lestat, I haven't liked Lestat almost ever, lolol. I'm such a weirdo, lol.

I think it is true, cuz Armand's descrption is frighteningly close to Tadzio's. lol (major twilight zone vibe if its a coincidence)

I got into Death in Venice from armands description, I saw a picture of Tadzio and I actually thought he WAS Armand the 1st time lol. I havent had time to read the actual book yet cuz im in the middle of my school books and rereading the Chronicles for like the 4th time in 2 years XD
And really? Me as Lestat? Hmm never quile thought about it b4, maybe I should try my hand at cosplaying...I already have all the clothes as my normal wardrobe (yes I wear frock coats and lace Im such a dork) Funny you mention Marius cuz my major is ancient history haha

I just remembered, when I'd seen the film, Death in Venice, I was very curious about the story and read it and learned it was based on a real trip Mann took to Venice... there was a real Tadzio, really fascinating, maybe you know... but I found a little book called the Real Tadzio by Gilbert Adair... so it is very funny. In a way I wonder if Louis was somewhat based on Acshenbach now.. now I'm all wondering hehe. Anyway, thought you might get a kick out of the book if you haven't seen it. The boy who played Tadzio was amazingly ethereal and striking, for sure.

Ah, I love how you dress... I dress just like the things I paint as well, even if I don't look as good in them, hehe. Ancient history <3 My degree was in, of all things, New England history. lol You should def try some cosplay, I bet you'd be awesome! ...Now I want to see Death in Venice again.. lol. It's one of my dreams to go there. Someday.. sighs ^^

Yep, there were pics in the book, he was much younger, nothing like the film boy, but Mann was very smitten with him. I'll scan if if you can send me an email address, heehe.

The new england thing might have been just where I went to school, think it was a new thing. I took it because it had a very bad art program lol. It was fun though, esp for me doing research on costumes and things, comes out a lot in my art I think.

I have been looking for him for about 5 years now and finally caught a break on ebay. The seller that I bought him from had more than one doll and might put the other one up for sale too soon. ebay is probably your best bet for a reasonably affordable Lestat doll. Mine was $200 and that is a HUGE deal!
(He also came with an autographed tale of the body thief comic) XD
so yea just keep a look out for Lestat on ebay, the doll makers are Crees and Coe,

i know! armand is my absolute favorite. he and gabrielle were never continued b/c mrs. rice didnt like the design

there is a show in New Orleans that has some of the VC dolls on display, like the unholy family, but i dont remember exactly where it is it was cool tho
