It is great to discover a fellow Deviant who enjoyed Regency Love. I finished playing it yesterday and now I have to write to the developers to express my admiration!! Well done on your very handsome rendition of Mr Ashcroft

Thanks! I totally fell in love with the game. It was nice to find an otome that was written with a western sensibility. Is there anything else in the genre that you'd recommend?

I really loved how beautifully written it was, too. A rare treat! Hmm...there is nothing quite like Regency Love, but have you tried Everlove:Rose ? It's on the app store and you have to pay for it, but the artwork is lovely and it's not too expensive. I liked it a lot! Better to play it on an ipad, though. I recently got an iphone and the only games I like are the rpg love stories haha! What else have you played ?

Thanks for the recommendation! I did play Everlove Rose, and I liked it a lot--especially as a fantasy. I thought Rose was a wonderfully strong character, even though she brought a very modern sensibility to her past lives. I've also played a few Japanese games in this genre, one on the iPhone (Seduced in Sleepless City: itunes.apple.com/us/app/seduce… and one on the 3DS: (Hakuoki: www.eurogamer.net/articles/201… . Both were interesting/engrossing in different ways (the heroines are very much a part of their culture, I think) so I'm always looking for more entries in the medium. It's such a change from reading western romance novels and playing Bioware games for the romances.

Oh yes DO! Your art is lovely--it would be astonishingly awesome to find something like that with a Regency Love sensibility style romance in an iOS game. Do you code, too?

:') oh I looooooove Bioware romances! I would definitely like to see more ios games like Regency. It's kind of unique from what my app searches have turned up. I found the usual Japanese otome games kind of unsatisfying in comparison tbh, despite having a soft spot for manga style art. Hmmm. I've had an idea for a romance RPG brewing for a while...maybe I should make it.
