Why I like Germany ? Some Reasons, I won't be exhaustive :
1/ something blurry and cold in the german soul, very poetic for the one who likes the rain (I'm from the north of the France, I don't like heat !!) I am very doubtful about the "mediterrean" mind, which is always very demonstrating, but not very strong and deep ... Germanic people generally have got deeper feelings and are more "sober". I don't like the "cool" ...
2/ Germany is more the nation of "hard" than the nation of "cool" ... It will very long to explain these concepts, but I want you to hear the difference. We live in a world where man says : cool=good, and not cool=boring, but this couple isn't automatic. The couple cool/boring isn't evident, but the true opposition is the couple cool/hard. Hard, like hard-rock, and we've got a true culture of hard, hard thinking, hard living etc etc ... I think all the mediterional culture too much "cool" ... For myself, I'm half italian, half russian, and definitively, I like the extrem and the hard-thinking. The cool, that is boring ... And germany has a lot of example of hard-thinkers, for the bad and for the good ...

yeah, my grandma talked about the DM ^^ but it's ok.. she lives in Hamburg, this is a few kilometres away from my place berlin. And when I am in Magdeburg, this is once in a blue moon, I get 10 Euros and not 10 DM. XD She didn't notice the exchange. Ok, I mean, she is old.. 88 years.

Uh, I know what you mean.. I love german too, because of the things you write and a lot of things more..
I feel german as a very tolerant nation. Ok here and there are some people, which are.. hum XD but the most are so great, you can live like you need and yeah.. I don't know how to describe it ^^" but it's great. Ok, america or japan or something.. I think in this place you feel more free like in german!? Anytime I want to fly to Japan. I love japan, but I wasn't there.. my biggest dream.. ^^ But I were live in german.

How it france? I was never in france.. I think there are a lot of lavender fields XD and in history we learned they didn't like the german people.. hum.. yeah oo"

Not it isn't true. French people who didn't like the german people because of this very old story, you jnow : World Wars ... But indeed, it doesn't cause any problem for us tomorrow.

Hey, the Euro is a NEW money. It is something like six years-old. I was young in these times, but I have had franc, deutschmark, lyre, pesseta ... I travelled a bit and so, I changed a lot of money ...

For the lavander fields, there are a lot only in one region : Provence. [in the south of France, lavander needs sun, and in my region, the north, we haven't lavander ... ]

I went in Japan too, the old Japan, Kyoto [I studied japanese when I was young] ... It is a cool country, but I fear a bit for his very culture. You know, the traditional Japan is suffering, but the "American Way of life" have some bad effects and some good effects indeed ... Japanese people are so strange for me ...
