well. i discovered that english degrees don't really do much if you don't want to go into education...
so now i'm studying graphic design at a local community college and working retail at the gap.
if you are actually living on storrs campus you should go to the an albatross show on the 14th at the student union. get your ass rocked off.

I've been reading a lot of 50's magazines and 50's 'how to' books and I'm having a very powerful impression of change right now... I think things have improved quite dramatically for women, though it's harder to define the areas which are still not quite there yet ... which I think is related to what you said in your comment...
