I'm proud you like it so much, is a big compliment from an expert like you!
FYI These are the first photos made with my new Sony RX100, a VERY little compact camera with a surprisingly high level of resolution and image quality.
Its 'big' sensor and lens is a little masterpiece...
And you can keep it in your pocket!
I know, you love to shoot with an optical viewfinder but this little beast is adorable and perfect for my need and work style.

pssst :) (Smile) i'm waiting for a new old alpha 700, a workaholic! finaly, my dreamcam. the right for my big hands, and the prisma are soooo big! i'm in love!

About the a700, i understand perfectly your excitement.
A pentaprism camera with a magnesium body is another thing! Its finder have a really bigger image, its weight help you to make not blurred shots, you'll love it.
One of the reason of my reluctance to use my reflex is that is a Canon 350d with plastic body and a pentamirror. I had a Nikon F801s, a big film reflex with a pentaprism and a huge finder. I shot many photos with that in a low light condition with a low exposure time and i get always good photos. With this fu**d Canon is so easy to get a blurred photo, is too lightweight and small! I hate it!!!

we can say: i shot it how i feel ;) (Wink) if, one day, are here in stuttgart, you can see it. my old dynax 700si and the dynax7 was the base for my buy - what for a feeling! or the old 9000af! the huge finder and the weight as well. my alpha 450 is like your canon: a plastic box. a toy. i'm working yet two years with it - and i'm not every time happy. something is missing. was not a really part of me.
