I might as well make the most out of it, because I've got two essays, one upcoming writing assignment for English (that I'm hoping will be lenient), two online classes, and one more history project. XD

Rather than Hiragana, katakana is used to write English originated words.
There are certain English words that have been accepted into the Japanese language but the Japanese wont understand just any English word once it is converted into Katakana.
Also, it's typically hard to determine how the English word might be spelled unless you use a dictionary or ask a Japanese person.
