Hey, haven't seen you in a while! (well, I've been off DA for a long time, too)
How you doing?

Ah, hopefully it mellows out soon. I had a pretty odd experience this last month. Not sure I ever told you about the person it was with.

Well, clearly, I'm still not active around here. You can send me notes any time, but there may not reply for an indefinite period. dA just hasn't been a means of contacting me for the past year or more, and may continue not to be.

Facebook - primarily two private groups. Been learning how to live with my first ever smart phone, which I got because my laptop died and I was without other devices.

ah, that sucks. Why'd it die? Mine almost did, actually. Got to the point it wouldn't even let me sign in without rebooting. I saved everything before it got that bad, but eventually I had to factory reset. It works now, thankfully.

The power jack broke. It seems to happen to every laptop I own. The cost to repair that is often the same as just getting a new laptop. The closest thing I could get to a new laptop is this phone.

oh wow. Yeah, I see the logic there. I want to get a PC eventually. Better at handling drawing programs and doesn't have as many problems as laptops do, it seems.

Thanks, I've been away from dA. Something reminded me of a few pictures on here, so I came back, and now I've decided to go through my very, very full inbox. Thanks for checking in on me. And I do like that version, haha.

Sorry ^^" I had a snap yesterday, all of sudden all my flashbacks and feelings decided to fall down on me and what I meant by the others... I told you about those 'people in my head' I used to have, alter egos, whatever you call them. Well, one of them appeared out of nowhere yesterday and it was the worst buddy. But now she's gone again after I had a sleep and took meds. Sorry for the problems

Don't worry about it. I had a hunch that you likely meant an alter or alters came back, but I wanted to be sure. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Do you know what could've caused it?

My nurse practitioner guarantees that if I were to suddenly immerse myself in the world by going to college, getting a job, or any such normal course of action, that I would be thrown into a psychotic episode that could last indefinitely, so she thinks I should just take everything in baby steps. xD She's the first person to tell me that... Most people say the exact opposite - that I should throw myself out into the world and start doing 'normal' things. I never do just throw myself out there because even when I dip my toes in I can easily get unstable. So, yes, baby steps for me.

A lot of people find bipolar to be a very spiritual thing, though... I've always felt that my spirituality and bipolar are inseparably intertwined.

CosmicLolita In reply to evryrosehasitsthorns [2014-05-18 17:17:57 +0000 UTC]
Hm... I don't really know... when my first episode (or I think it was the 1st) started I was an atheist who rejected any kinds of spirituality. I wouldn't say that in my case bipolar is a spiritual thing, rather that spirituality helps with dealing with it. My 'religious' journeys started from practising OOBE.

evryrosehasitsthorns In reply to CosmicLolita [2014-05-18 21:41:03 +0000 UTC]
Well, I always had some level of spirituality and religiousness because of how I was raised, but those drastically morphed and reshaped as I got older and as I lived with bipolar longer. Also, if you don't mind me saying, you seem a bit more schizo than bipolar, whereas I'm more bipolar than schizo. Perhaps that's a partial contributor to our different experiences (but, of course, only partial, as life experiences and plenty of other predispositions could've very well also played a roll.)

CosmicLolita In reply to evryrosehasitsthorns [2014-05-19 06:17:52 +0000 UTC]
What makes you think I'm more schizo than bipolar? I'm just asking, being curious

evryrosehasitsthorns In reply to CosmicLolita [2014-05-19 06:47:00 +0000 UTC]
Well, for one thing, you said schizotypal personality disorder, yeah? While I do admit that I find my bipolar to be intrinsic to my being, personality disorders involve the very most foundational aspects of one's perception of reality. You're a loner, practice spirituality that is considered unorthodox, you've had significant influence from psychosis in your life that doesn't seem to be strictly mania-related, and... to be honest... a gut feeling. I can't fully put it into words, but I often get gut feelings about people's psychological make-up, a sense of certain so-called 'intangibles,' or in the French phrase, "Je ne sais quoi" (translated "I don't know what.") From my interactions with people from both spectra, you seem to lean toward the schizo side, but I also see distinct differences from someone who is exclusively on the schizophrenia spectrum. Certainly, everything has shaped you to be who you are, not just some diagnoses on paper. You are you, in the end. But clinically speaking, this would be my opinion. Heh, I could always ask some follow up questions to get a better idea, but - of course - I'm not a doctor, so anything I say is gibberish when it comes to an official capacity.
