Stranger in a Strange Land is a novel by Robert Heinlein...arguably one of the greatest science fiction novels ever written. It's about a human being raised on Mars (by the Martians...the only human being ever raised by them) who returns home.
VERY interesting, wonderful characters. A classic. I mentioned it because one of the many things the main character does is eventually found his own religion. I don't want to give too much away, but if you read it, you'll see why your work reminded me of that book.

thanks for recognizing my comment. I saw that someone said that this 'site' was aiming for a way for digital trading that also gave artists payment for thier work. Of course, with only a minimal amount of looking on the RIAA site, it is obvious that this is a similar want. The 'site' in the contest is thus redundent, clearly showing the real intention of the site- promoting the free trade of copyrighted works. Just thought you would appreciate that. ROCK ON!

Wow, man...there's so much here to take in. I'm going to have to keep coming back for a while, little doses. I just read "And This Is What We Are?", and I loved it. Have you ever read Stranger in a Strange Land?
Anyway, thanks for the comment about my RIAA comments. It's not that I'm defending the people in the RIAA necessarily, just their right to defend their...rights, I guess. Many people don't see that. I'm glad you did.
I'm going to put you on my watch list, so I don't forget to come back here and check out more of your stuff.

Yes, it is a Weezer lyric! I'm glad you recognized that. Army of Darkness is hilarious! I recently saw Evil Dead the Musical, it was amazing.
Anyway, thanks for coming by, and I forgive you!

Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?
What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.
You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
I offer only the truth, nothing more.
Take: The Red Pill
Take: The Blue Pill
spyed, nobody has ever done this before.
I know. That's why it's going to work.

Yeah, I know Sigur RΓ³s, that's one of the reasons why I love your icon so much. I love them. I think it's awesome tha tyou're trying to promote them, so few people know who they are, it's such a shame..
Yeah, I think I would, especially if the person that got it would actually appriciate it. I'm not sure if more than 5 people in my school could recognise him. So to give it to someone that would.. get it.. would be great.

Hey, thanks a lot for the substancial commentary on my writing. It's nice to find that someone sees so much in it. I like your style quite a bit; it's very real and true. I expect some of what I may someday submit may seem similar. I hope you'll forgive the assumption, but it seems to me that we're quite alike in ways yet unforseen. I was just thinking that before I read your "Tools of Trade" and found the idea I had for mine already chosen in advance.
What you've shown us (and what of it I've seen) is good. Perhaps it's paradox, but a strong sense of identity is portrayed. I'm glad I've chosen to watch your workings. Next time you intend to remove some on the basis of its difference from the rest or emotional direction and depth, consider the extent you'd go to feel the same in yourself. Variegation is a noteworthy quality. And if you're embarrassed... Hell, I could understand... If I let that bother me, there wouldn't be much to share in writing; at least not if one were to bother putting substance into it - or putting theirself into it.
You put yourself into your work. That is admirable. Of course, you already know what I'm telling you; that's another thing that I like.
Perhaps pointless, but I bother nonetheless. I commend you for doing the same. Keep it up.

Wow, thank you.. I thought that I was the only one who really liked that image. I don't think anyone else has ever said they'd use it on their desktop.. My boss at work wanted it framed and put on her wall (I was certainly pleased).. Anyway, that image means more to me than any of the rest in my gallery, so thank you for your very kind words
