OMG, dont even get me started on that, dont even. FFFFFFFFFFFFF Sadly, Ill probably still have to see that movie, despite all of the controversy, as I was such a die hard Avatard back in the day. Hmm. Well I wont say 'was' cause I didnt really fall out liking the series as much as I did, but the fandom just went batsh*t crazy and I had to take two huge steps back. .___.

But srs I could go on and on about how he's screwed that movie that up. Our only saving grace is that Mike and Brian were apart of the production, though I dont know how much control they had over certain things. I guess we shall see.

Haha. It's gonna be a train wreck watching that movie. That's what happened when I saw the Happening. It was so bad I couldn't stop watching. Only this time I'm probably gonna be crying because I just know he's gonna butcher that movie. I love Avatar, fantastic series and I wish that any other director got hold of that movie because then I'd be so happy to see on the silver screen. It would've been bad ass. But no. NOOOOO. That would be to good, they just had to go and fuck us all up the ass with a pineapple. DAMN HIM. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN.

Oh I hear ya huh. :/

From what Ive heard he's completely disregarded original character personalities, such as Sokka (WHHHYY T_T) and I read in the Avatar community on LJ kinda recently (I cant find the post, I just tried looking for it) a quote from an article where I believe it was one the producers who had admitted something along the lines of acknowledging that they had deviated from the 'feel' of the animated series, and had in fact advised movie staff members NOT to watch the animated series. And when I read that I was just floored. :/ Its like they're basically disregarding the original show and just trying to make 'a movie' not an accurate adaptation.

Of course Im speaking relatively since I havnt actually seen the film yet, so Im hesitant to pass TOO harsh of a judgement but from what the ATLA fandom has speculated based on published interviews from either M Night or others (never mind the horribleness of the white washed actors, caucasian Katara makes me die a little inside) - this movies just gonna tank.

HOW can you change Sokka? He's uber awesome as is. Nothing needs to be changed. NOTHING. This is blasphemy I say, BLASPHEMY! How can they disregard the animated series when it's the ENTIRE basis for the movie? When a majority of the audience will go to that movie looking forward to an accurate adaptation of all the characters they love and adore so much? HOW?

When I first saw the trailer I was killed by the fact that Aang is white. The character is entirely based off of Asian culture, specifically Buddhist. I don't want to pass too hard of judgment either, but damn, he is making it really fucking hard.

See, you're EXACTLY right. T_T Uggggggh. Infuriating, man. Just infuriating.
But you make a great point about what the audience wants. 90% of the people going to see this movie are seeing it because they were fans of the series. Meaning they WANT to see something like the series. They are expecting it to be at least marginally the same, and its not going to be. And then they'll be dissapointed because their favorite characters are being ass raped. Sokka whhhy!?
I think they're going to make a lot of money the first two weeks when all the fans just go to see it out principle and curiosity- but I dont see it lasting very long at all as I highly doubt there will be a "Oh I want to see it AGAIN" from most fans for all the reasons mentioned above by us both.

And yeah...yeah. And Zuko's brown. WTF. I mean kudos to the actor-I forget his name- Slumdog Millionaire was a brilliant movie...but hes NOT Zuko >< FFFFFFFF. If Im going on and on and its getting annoying feel free to stop me. XD

But I agree that I think the movie is gonna tank overall. Unless it develops a newer audience and people who never even heard of Avatar are gonna be all "OMG! BEST MOVIEEE EVEAAAAAAH!!!111one".

I dont think it CAN develop newer audiences based on the movie alone. There were what? 60 30 minute episodes total and thats a shit ton of hours and M Night is attempting to condense all that into three two hour movies. LOLWHUT!?!?!? IT R NOT GON FIT, SON.

Anybody who hasnt been predisposed to the series first will be entirely too lost to give the movie any kind of decent review for anything aside from special effects. At least, that is my prediction.

I doubt he'll be able to flesh out the characters accurately if he can't even get the basic premise down in the first place. It's gonna be terrible. A train wreck of epic fail. He let all the fame of The Sixth Sense get to his head... honestly that and Unbreakable were his only two good movies. Everything else is drawn out trash. Feh. D=<

It's gonna be like the blue cat Avatar movie, pretty visuals but not substance.

The blue kitty movie wasn't all bad, just... lacked in substance. Very pretty visuals but... the plot has been so many times that it huuuuurts. But w/e. It still did crazy good in theaters and that man has CRAZY amounts of money for his sequel which is probably just gonna suck 'cause sequels tend to always suck for some reason.

Yeaah Ill admit the plot was a rehash of stories like Pocahontas and Dances With Wolves and other like it- but I am the biggest sucker for that kind of romantic shit. Like so hard its ridiculous, so even though it wasnt original, it still appealed to me.

The problem I have with them doing a sequel is that sequels were originally intended to continue a story if there was story left to tell. NOW they're just about running the franchise as long as possible until the fans are squeezed dry. And thats why sequels nowadays suck ass. If a movie has a perfect ending- it doesnt need a sequel!! I feel with Blue-Kitty movie there really is no story left to tell. Everything was resolved. WTF they need a sequel for!? They're going to force story on something thats ended. ;3;

I play during school, the teachers doesn't really mind us sitting and playing video-games during class since we otherwise sit by our calculators and play games on those instead.

As soon as I had installed Bioshock 2 and got to the Big Sister part, my fucking classmate sent me a virus, and now I STILL can't play the goddamn game because it lags like hell. I tried to play it, while lagging, for about two hours something that could have otherwise been played for about 10 minutes. God, I hate him!
He always sends stupid sites etc and says that they are free. I tell him that NOTHING is free, and especially not something over the internet. Such as free text messages if you send your cellphone number to some site called "freesms.com" etc. I yell at him in school to stop send me those links, and stop clicking on them himself because THEY. ARE. NOT. TRUE.
And he still nags about them being for real, I'm just waiting for that big, fat bill he'll get soon.
