I have to be honest and say that I didn't expect you to even remember me, much less any of our chats. It’s been years since we last spoke, and based on my experience, people quickly forget things like online conversations. Honestly, I’m happy that you remembered - this alone means the world to me.

As you’ve seen, I’ve been MIA for a long time. I recently stumbled back to DA, by pure chance, and during a somewhat rough period for my thoughts/mindset. I’d been feeling really down to say the least. Finding your message was an absolutely welcome surprise, which really helped clear my mind. With a few short sentences, you managed to replace the darkened contempt with a huge smile. It made me really happy.

Honestly, it is really difficult for me to express just how important reading your words were to me. I’ll save you the story and just keep it simple: Thank you for your kind words and for being an amazing person, Rannia!

Haha, you remember the gift too, eh? I do as well, but in a different way - to me that "poor excuse" was one of the best gifts I had ever gotten. The reason is that someone took the time to create something unique from nothingness just for me! It is something which cannot be bought. It is a piece of art I enjoyed more than I can express, so I refuse to accept any apology you might offer!

Thanks for the concern! It's hard to explain what I was feeling - I can compare it to a sense of emptiness of sorts, but it's hard to express as well. Regardless, I feel better and as I said before - thanks! Reading your words at the time really did help me find a better state of mind.

I'm glad to see that you have emersed yourself with art! Knowing what I know about you, I'm confident that you will be successful with it! Also, I would love to see some of the things you have been working on so far!

Though I must admit, I am surprised to hear that they have you programming. I'd be interested in hearing more about that (like which languages you use) and some of the finer details, if you feel like sharing. Mostly because I 'm a programmer myself, haha ^^.

Hmm, it's hard to really explain how things are. It's been a while since we last spoke and so much has happened that I hardly know where to start. I think I'll skip most of the details to avoid writing a book, and just say that I am near the end of my BA in Software Development and as of recently I became a Product Manager at a tech company here in Denmark.

Creativity-wise, I haven't been writing much too be quite frank. I've honestly only worked on one literary piece since leaving DA and it happens to be a fanfiction xD. I have yet to write the epilogue to it though, but so far I feel somewhat satisfied with the way it has turned out. I'd be up for sharing the link with you find yourself interested in checking it out.

After I complete the epilogue, I think I will finally get around to starting work on an original work. Something in the form of a light novel is what I've been imagining. I have a few ideas I've been toying with and am trying to really nail-down lore, characters, settings and all of the finer details.

Anyway, if you are up for chatting, we should probably move to PM's. We can also try out some IM if you are ever interested in chatting real-time/beyond DA. Let me know what works for you!

I just finished up my last year of highschool a couple of week ago - finals, prom, graduation and finally getting that much desired diploma, (those being just a small fraction the the big things you can look forward to during the final year) so I wish you the best of luck. On that note, I also got accepted into the university I wanted, so i'll be Denmark bound come mid August. So finally, I can look forward to some new experiences along with the joy of getting to meet new people (i've been in need of a change of pace for quite a while now).

Otherwise, at the moment i'm just taking the opportunity to waste away my summer break in laziness, since I probably won't be able to catch my breath come next year xD.

Been dreaming about this move for the last couple of years, this like I mentioned, is a long overdue change. Mostly because for some weird reason, i'm absolutely bored by everything around me - it feels stale and familiar, so most of the time I find myself unable to enjoy life. So, yeah i'm looking forward to being more independent as well as just to be a bit more spontaneous.
Basically, from now on when I want a Double Ice Cream Fudge Sunday (with sprinkles) I go get it... like a boss XD

Being lazy is nice, especially during those awful midday heat waves. Nothing beats some Ice tea while chillin near an AC, all while doing nothing productive xD
Too bad my AC is messed up at the moment, so only that's stopping me from living the dream

For some, unexplained, reason I know the feeling. It's very weird, especially if you look back on your day and find that you really didn't do anything time consuming. Guess that's why some people say "busy doing nothing". lol Also, that cryforever image always makes me rofl - it's too epic!

Otherwise, my life is rather boring as well (always is come summer), since most of my friends are out of town, meaning there is a lack of "misadventures". I for some reason call almost every get together with them that, since for some reason a regular activity manages to turn into a random series of lmfao events.

On the other note, I was actually surprised at how average this last school year passed. It felt like any other, excluding the finals tests and all that.
You mentioned studying in Jordan is hard - how so? Are things rather different in your school system? Or...?

Well, since in other countries, it doesn't matter what your high school grades were, right? you just take that SAT test.
But here, your senior year grades decides your collage & future career in Jordan (or any Arab country in general)
And to make sure everyone gets the mark they really deserve , the whole kingdom's seniors take the same tests (depending on wither you're scientific or IT or what ever other path, i'm scientific thankfully even though it's the hardest T^T) & the teachers (from around the kingdom) don't get to know the owner of the test they're marking (so no favoring could happen)
And to make sure no cheating happens, students of the same school don't take the tests together, the government randomly puts names of students (again, from all around the kingdom) in different schools to take the tests.
But that doesn't really bother me (I never cheat -.-)
What does, is that you have to memorize every single word in the books...literally!

My AC is called Fuji for short (Fujitsu), so every time I refer to it by name and mention that is out of order, the people I tell at first are under the impression that i'm informing them that Mt. Fuji is out of order (go figure lol) xD
Otherwise, the summers in Denmark are awesome in terms of temperature - keeping on average around a nice 24C, accompanied by some really nice northern winds. Winters on the other hand are problematic to say the least (btw i'm not much of a winter person either), but i'll manage somehow.
Also forgot to mention: Ice cream, Ice cream everywhere! xD

Busy doing nothing. I wonder if i could pursue a career with that. xD

Understandable. The heat has such an effect on people. I find the best solution is to get together at someone, with strong AC's, house, and just chill while watching a movie or playing a game. That way you done in two birds with one stone.

It depends, but in most countries the grades on you diploma matter when applying for university, alongside those of specialized test scores (SAT generally used in the USA - In Europe we use TOEFL and IELTS most).
Here in Bulgaria we also have such tests at the end of the year, but they are a bit different - The first test is of Bulgarian Language & Literature (which is mandatory for all senior students) while the second test is on the subject mater of our own choosing (Biology, English, etc.). Just like with you guys, we are graded by special grading committees, and the tests are taken in luck of the draw schools, though the town where the student is located.
These are all good measures against cheating, but are overall quite tedious in concerns to the constant switching of locations and all that.

Overall, yes. Most of the time it does come down to that, but it would be a lot better if you actually devise a method to understand it a bit easier (example: make learning a game lol). Still, know how you feel. Wish you the best of luck with the coming school year, don't forget to enjoy it too

Yeah, i've watched Hetalia: Axis Powers and the movie, but i'm steering far away from anything more, since the Yaoi fan girls totally destroyed any possibility of the series being normal. The horrors i've had the unfortune of seeing... Damn you yaoi fans! Damn you all! xD

Otherwise, I too have about 5 series on the back burner, downloaded and ready to watch, but I too am to busy doing nothing. lol
Right now, i'm hoping to find something interesting to watch in the upcoming summer season.

Generally, right now i'm concentrated on finishing up the visual novel: Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru (ps3 patch), since i'm a big fan of the series. The story is great, do recommend it if you feel like reading a great intellectual/mystery tale.
Once I wrap it up, i'll have no choice but to go back to the usual (might even find some inspiration to write something new)

Sorry for the late reply - Been busy with blasphemously annoying things these last couple of days so haven't had the time to drop a line.
Yaoi, I swear it has the ability to make a perfectly normal friendship between men turn into a monstrosity from which it is hard to recover. The damn yaoi fangirls destoried Hetailia for me and are pretty much on their way towards the destruction of Kuroko no Basket. They should just stick to their "Free" and all of those other titles made for them instead of ruining stuff. They are true evil xD
Still, It's not only because of that, but I also have a giant backlog of anime to finish and Hetalia just doesn't take any priority.
Though I commend you for being able to ignore all of that and watch on strong! goodjobplz - hopefully that worked otherwise lol

The first time I came across something of the sort (I recall it was one of those infamous "reader x [nation]" fan-fics), I had no idea what it was (reading the title I figured it might be like one of those interactive adventure books from the early 90's) and oh boy was I wrong.
It turns out it was "interactive" and an "adventure", but for people who enjoy "different things" xD
I literally went from bored in the beginning to to (got the icons working yay! )
And the part that really made my jaw drop was the amount of views and faves said piece had.
After that my only reaction was:
Messing up good series with yaoi fan-fic is not cool in my book. Otherwise, I have nothing against those who are into it.

Now that i've finished my rant, I can finally be useful and help you out with the links and instal info on the game xD

Medicine is really tough, not to mention the years of your life you lose in studies and then having to deal with the pressures of the hospital and of the sick patients - not everyone can handle that. I too, wanted to study medicine (was watching too much House M.D. at the time xD), but I was horrible in chemistry and when I thought about it long and hard, I found that the con's outweighed the pro's for me personally, and I gave up on it about three years ago.
My career I most wanted after that was Psychology, but that just wasn't a viable option for Denmark, so I'm stuck with Computer Science ( I love being stuck with things I'd generally pass on xD )

Otherwise, Architecture is good, though it requires a good imagination, the ability to draw, and a strength in mathematics.
My advice is just weigh the pro's and con's of each career you are considering and objectively think about it in detail - best way to reach a general consensus.
Though you know what most people say: find something you like doing and find someone to pay you for it
