reasons why I'm partial to staircases. Ha, I've never really thought about why, but (now having thought about it) they can have character from the grandest staircases in great estates, where they look noble and stately, to stair cases like in your picture 'forgotten house', where they are worn dorn and old. ooh and those great stair cases where it is rock or earth steps etched out of a hill or mountain side. Also you can some interesting shots, using the railing kind of like in 'Focus' by bucuresti (that one looks like it is a railing on a bridge). Or using the stairs to get an interesting perspective at something that is at the top or bottom of the stairs, such as in my photo 'white glow'. I actually wanted more of the stairs in that picture, but I didn't have the space to get more of them and the entire door into the picture (at least not with lying down on the sopping wet moldy floor... oh that floor was gross... maybe I should start taking more pains for my photography... but that's a rant for a different comment). I hope that is suffiencient reason!
