The hat game is possibly the game of kings.
Here's the lowdown:
Everyone thinks up a certain number of names of celebrities/characters or whatever, writes them down and puts them in a hat. The more people, the less names or it goes on too long. The first round, you have a number of teams, they take it in turns to have a "describy type person" who takes names out of the hat and tries to describe them to their team mates, and the team has to try and guess as many names as they can in 60 seconds. When all the names are used up, the game ends and you count up the scores. Then in the next round it is the same, but the describy type person is only allowed to use three words. Then in the 3rd round they can only say one word. In the last round they have to mime it, like in charades. At the end, the team that guessed the most names over all 4 rounds wins. It's fantastic fun.
