No, his philosphy wasn't a result of the softening of his brain cause he suffered from it after he had written all his books. and when you think about his messages you'll find out that he explained them very logically. And by the way, he wasn't sad or pessimistic at all. I repeat: His philosophy is the most positive one I know and he attached importance to life.

hey man. I notice you're from germany (ich weiss ein wenig deutsch... ich hatte es fur 3 jahren im schule gelernt.) probably pretty sloppy german, but I tried.. Yeah, I love bukowski.. He was a genius.

I noticed also you're into Akira Kurosawa, tim burton, and kubrick.. I'm a big fan of their work as well.

Well so far I've only seen 'Seven Samurai' But that movie was enough to win me over.. I have been meaning to see more of his films but the trouble is whether or not film stores in the area carry his movies..
