It is a very interesting story, and I do recommend it. 
It is an over 9000 page adventure on www.mspaintadventures.com but do not let that discourage you, it is very fun and rewarding, with jokes plot twists and lovely characters. 
It takes place with a total of 6 acts, and one intermission. With the first four taking part in only about 25% of the whole story. 
The first 4 acts are there so you get the concept of the story, and are educated on how to understand it, but yoyo its not like brainwashing or anything, my wording was a little creepy hah. X/
I would advise heavily against skipping, it after the first four it will get IMMENSELY better. Beautiful artwork and animation, flash games too!
Advice though, gog is a joke, and horribly stupid in a bad way. Buckets jokes are childish, like condom jokes. And don't be surprised by all the horses. :> 

Also, if you'd like to have conversations without everybody being able too see, i'd point you towards the note system.
