Life and things are pretty good. Starting university in a couple weeks, been moving a lot. Blahblahblah. Pretty boring stuff, haha.

University starts the end of September for me... so I've been trying to get a head-start and writing exhibition reviews an' whatnot on the few galleries I visited during the break.
I helped out with a exhibition earlier in the summer and I just spent a day helping them take it all back down last week. In the meantime was kind-of asked to join the committee. Which is pretty exciting. Hah. I'll be invited to their next meeting to see how I like it... like a trial run of sorts.
Other than that, not a whole lot.

Anyways, haha, Yeah! I'm actually pretty excited to go to school. I have orientation next week on Thursday! I'm taking some pretty great courses, too. Linguistics, Social and Cultural Anthropology and the Woman's film of the 1940's! Super cool courses first semester. Other than that, I'm really just working. Waitressing. Nothing very exciting. I swing dance every Sunday and I learned how to knit.

I've always wanted to try swing, but I never got around to it. It's fantastic that you're doing it. How long have you been taking the classes for? Are you any good?
Waitressing is something I've never tried... but I don't think I'd be very good at it. I've a terrible memory and balance to boot and I'm pretty sure you need both to score a successful tip. Hah.
Kind-of, I think. It's called "Friends of The Hatton" (The Hatton being the gallery). I know they host exhibitions for members at least twice a year... once in the winter and once in the summer. There's also a newsletter and general support of the gallery/arts/etc.. but I'll know more when this meeting occurs. Hah.
