Hella. o vo My phone is such a hardship rn
cause it's a Windows phone and it doesn't have
all the same apps as Apple and Android phones,
like this dA app, so I'm just glad that the mobile
vers is actually good. But yes, it's a glorious thing
not to rely so much on your laptop, aha.

Still can't believe it's December at all,
but I'm totally excited but also conflicted
cause my parents are split and I can't
be in two places at once. >n<

Awe, that must suck. :c
I'm sorry you have to deal with that.
I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't
see everybody all in the same slew
of days..
We do the holidays in a series of days.
It's easier to get to see everybody.
But yeah, December went by wayyy
too fast. I was in the hospital for most
of it and this last week has been a blur
so I feel like I've lost all sense of time.

The worst part is that one of my friends
is working all week ( maybe even xmas? idk )
but I haven't seen her in like 2 years and
I don't even have my own car anymore so
I can't just drive to the mall where she works.
We've been trying for 3 days since I got into
town but things keep getting screwed up, lol.
It'll happen eventually, I'm sure. It's just
frustrating right now, without a car. ; n;
If we all lived in the same city it wouldn't be
so hard to visit everyone like in a series of
days, lol. But we all live like 4 - 6 hours away
from everyone else, so I decided to stay with
my dad since he and my friends are still in the
same place. Mom's upset but I can't help it.
( Also, I was with her last year ... but still. )
DAMN DECEMBER, YOU WENT TO FAST.

Story of my life.. but only because I'm too lazy to
get my friggin' license. >.> It's a total inconvenience
and musses up most of Mad and my plans -- holiday
or not.. but now, where we have two kids, we both
need to get the jump on getting permits and licenses
so we can cart them around and not have to have TWO
other people take us and the kids places. Damn. Being
an adult really sucks, lol.
I'm sorry about you not being able to see your friend, tho.
I have friend who I never get to see.. and it kills me
knowing that it's half my own fault because I don't drive.
My friend Chelsea went to Beloit for college so for four
years I missed out on seeing her more than once a year.
Even now she lives an hour and a half away and though
I could see her whenever I wanted to, I inconvenience
myself by not having the means of getting myself there.
And it blows..
I feel like I didn't even get to see December. ;n;

The only problem I had was Driver's Ed,
but I took the classes online so I could
do it on my own time. Then the written
test isn't so bad; I only had to take it twice.
I love driving, honestly. If only I had a car, lol.
Her work schedule threw me off; that and
I don't really own a car at the moment. I'm sure
I'll her at some point, though. It won't hinder our
friendship at all, which is the important part, eh?
Aw, I know the feels. Though, I'm the one
who moved away ... D;

Awe, lol ! You're too sweet;
I really appreciate that.. but I'm
a pretty lazy artist, lol. I love to
draw but I'm too lazy to do anything

I've got so much crap going on in my life
that I just have no ambition to do anything
right now, haha. Too much stress, I think.
I can't wait until I get my new tablet pen
and I can get back to drawing.. I have two
tablets, a bamboo with a broken pen piece
but a working eraser and a monoprice tablet
that I need to buy a new pen for. Using the
old tablet and the eraser to draw just isn't
doing it for me anymore, lol. >.<

Well I hope that it gets better for you soon and that you stop feeling so stressed (:
That must be annoying haha, but once you get a new pen you'll probably feel like drawing more often.
As long as you don't feel any pressure and just draw whenever you want to.
Whenever I feel pressured I stop drawing for weeks. >.<
No problem! < 3

Well, I'm 31 weeks pregnant, too, lol. So I'm not sure
the stress is going to subside anytime soon. d:
But yeah, once I get a new pen I'll be all set.
For now, I pretty much stick to sketching and
practice because I'm trying not to overwhelm
myself with Gaia requests or art for family..
I do that, too ! You get a little too much pressure
on your shoulders and then you just shut down
for a while until you're ready to boot back up. Lol.

Thank you ! Though I've been a mommy for a
year and a half now, this will be MY first biological
child. (: My fiancee and I co-parent his wonderful
two year old boy and are very excited to be having
a little brother for him to play with.
Sounds like me, lol. I have a freebie thread (currently
inactive, though) and a joint shop with a few others.
The joint shop has gotten slow because most of
our artists don't see any requests.. I'm thinking about
re-opening my freebie thread for some more practice
but I'm definitely worried I won't like working on them
with the crappy pen I'm using. I can pump out a few
cute freebies a day but I find that when I do freebies,
I put a LOT less effort into my work, haha. I'm too
lazy.. but I'm working more with males now, so I'm
thinking re-opening for male practice will be a good idea. c:
By the way, I'm sorry I'm so chatty && write so much. d:

Aww that's so great! And it's nice that their ages are so close,
so I'm sure they'll enjoy playing together as they grow up c:
Me and my brother are 5 years apart but it's still close enough
that we've always done everything together. ^^
Yes, I also need to work on my males. I'm not sure why so many artists
struggle more with males. I wish I could do better, I'm terrible haha.
I've never been in a joint shop before, I'm bad at creating shops and I
haven't found one I can join yet as all of the other artists have so much skill lol
It's okay! I'm sorry if I'm not as good at chatting, I've always struggled socially,
even when it's just typing on a computer. I always feel like I come across as awkward haha

Yes -- the biggest part of my partner and I conceiving
had to do with age. I want to give our kids a chance to
not only be siblings but best friends, too ! My sister and
I are 3.5 years apart and we didn't get along until I was
a teenager. We didn't play a whole lot together and she
always made her friends hate me, lol. I want my little
ones to be closely bonded their whole lives.. you're lucky
to have a relationship like that with your brother. I've
heart sisters tend to not get along because they're both
girls and incredibly dominant.. that's most definitely the
case between my sister and I. c:
I know, right ? Lol. Girls are so easy to draw because they
have specific features you can enhance to make them look
feminine. Males ? Not so much. I can draw guys, I guess,
haha, but I'd love for it to feel as natural for me to draw a
guy as it does for me to draw ladies..
I get so bored with running shops. Lol. Seriously. I had my
own thread but it's boring when people want art but don't
want to talk to you. That's why joint shops are such a good
idea.. Add me ! Malveillants
Maybe we can open a small joint shop together sometime ?
Skill doesn't make a difference, really. So long as you put
enough effort into your work, somebody will notice and love
what you do !
Hahah, it's fine. I love to talk to people online.. I always feel
more comfortable since you can kinda be whoever you want
or really are online. I don't think you come across as awkward,
though. Often times we're only in our element socially when
we are in our element physically. When I talk about art or my
life, I could ramble on FOREVER. Other subjects, not so much.
OMG has dA been a pain in your butt, too ? It always tells me
it can't post my comments and stuff until I refresh the page a
few times. Ugh.

Yes, my Mum and my aunt are 15 years apart. So my Mum is more like
a second Mother to my aunt haha. And we have no other sisters in
the family, only brothers. (3 uncles)
Exactly, but with me and my brother, I was always the one in charge
and he just had to follow along hahah
Girls have smoother lines, more curvy. And I always struggle to
make angular lines look good, for example, the male jawline. So it never looks quite right c:
I definitely want to practice more, but I agree that females are easier to draw naturally.
Yeah and I really don't like it when I spend a long time on someones art, put loads of
effort into it and they can't even manage a simple thank you.
I sent you a friend request c:
Yeah! I think I'll work on my art a little more with these freebs,
there's a few things I want to get better at. But that sounds like a great idea! ^^
One of the things I prefer about talking online is that you get to talk to people
from anywhere in the world. You can meet so many different people. It's so much easier
than meeting people in real life. Especially for me because I feel so uncomfortable around new people. c:
I'm the same way haha. I'll talk for hours about things I love.
Yes! I though it was just my computer being stupid. It's so annoying lol

It's always interesting to hear about other people's
lives and families.. almost like everything somebody
says becomes a story. It's interesting that your mom
and aunt are fifteen years apart !.. Brothers don't run
in my family, actually. My dad is the only boy on his side
of the family and my mother's mom had three girls..
My finacee's family is the opposite, though. ALL boys,
no girls. So, it's really no wonder that we're having a
little boy together. Maybe, someday, when I'm ready for
our third child (gosh.. let's hope that's YEARS from now,
lol) I want to do invitro fertilization so I can have a girl.
I spent weeks crying when I found out I was having a boy..
I had so many dreams of having a little girl of my own;
my mother and I have an amazing relationship and it
really hurt to realize I wasn't going to have that same
relationship. With boys, even when they're momma's boys,
you can't do their hair or teach them to do their makeup.
Lol. I know it sounds selfish.. but it's always been my dream,
I guess.
I JUST put up a male sketch that I'm pretty proud of. He's
damn handsome, lol, but I can never proportion the bottom
half of the body to the top half.. so he remains a torso. XD
You're right, the angular lines are a lot harder to get "perfect"
because they are more noticeable than curvy lines.. I suppose
I might be able to draw a decent fat guy ? LOL. No, I joke. I
probably wouldn't be able to manage that, actually.
I don't plan on doing it very soon, so we have plenty of time
to practice. I've been so busy planning my baby shower,
drawing up a design for my cake (which I'm fondant-covering
myself ! So excited to try it ! Maybe I'll be SUPER good at it
and want to start doing cakes for a living !), figuring out what
I need for the new baby (his name is Silas) and how I'm going
to live with myself, my fiancee, our two-year old, AND a newborn
in the same bedroom (we live with my parents; I'm 23..).
Life is so frustrating right now that I'm not anywhere near ready
to make online obligations to another art shop. d: But I'm sure
I'll need some distraction from baby & life at some point, haha,
so it's up in the air.
Yeah, I do freebies for people and when I don't get a "thank you,"
it actually PISSES me off. Lol. Not to get violent, but it's like.. "I
didn't spend my time drawing this for NOTHING; you can thank me,
you know.." That's actually why I stopped doing freebies for a while.
YES. Diversity is wonderful. I've made many good friends online (and
some not so good, lol.. there was this one guy who was totally
infatuated with me who got pissed when I said "I love you" to
my fiancee in my art thread and stopped talking to me..) and I love
that all of them come from different parts of the world.. it's more fun
to talk to people out of your culture-group !
Gosh, I've written too much. Lol.

Yep, we have more boys in my family. Though, I only see my close family,
and only my Mums side. Yeah 15 years is a big gap, and I'm only 7 years younger
than my aunt so she's always been like a big sister c:
I can understand, I've always dreamed of having a girl, even though I'm not very
girly myself lol And I was pretty upset when I found out that I had a brother haha.
I think many girls are like that though.
Haha, yeah I stick to busts because I'm also bad at torsos.
He looks great! I love his hair!
That sounds awesome! I've never tried to bake a cake before, but I love
watching tv shows about cakes. The way they design the cakes look amazing.
I'd like to give it a go someday. Silas is a nice name! I've never heard it before c:
And wow that sounds tough, haha. Must be hard to fit everything in.
Yeah of course, there's no rush. Just something to do whenever you do want a break. c:
Yes! Haha, I don't mind if they don't go crazy about it. But a simple thank you is nice.
I think it's just good manners to thank people when they do something especially for you.
And something time-consuming like art.
I agree, all of my friends come from different places. Spain, Germany, England and America.
It's very interesting to hear about other peoples lives in other places. The different foods,
music, culture, religion. ^^
Wow! You can also meet a lot of strange people on the internet too lol

Well, you're a LOT better an artists than I am, but yeah -- when I get a favourite, I always comment on their profile saying "this means SO much to me" because, legitimately, I get an overwhelming sense of happiness whenever anybody favs something of mine.
It's probably on account of my laziness, though. d:
I'm only a "hobbyist" because I don't like to commit to anything.
So getting a fav on something I probably only took 6 or less hours to complete, I absolutely jump for joy.
I wish I would take my art more seriously though.
You guys, who actually put effort in, have such AMAZING work..
I can only hope to be as awesome as you in time.. and with effort.. and maybe a tablet because using a mouse blows. I hate not being able to make "fluid, organic" lines.. >.>
by the way, i gave you a llama -- it was the one you needed to get an albino ! ^_^

I'm so glad I got an albino llama! Sounds weird, but
I was definitely excited, haha, thank you! c:
It's so weird to see that I'm not the only one that gets
excited about the little things, that one fav, or that one
llama, even a lame comment; it all makes me happy. I do
my best to personally thank everyone, even if it gets
repetitive, though. I usually use the same emote, lol.
Same reason I'm a hobbyist, haha. That and I've never
done commissions before so I don't think I'm professional at all.
I haven't done much of anything, really. I don't think I've put
enough effort into my work. Maybe a little, but I can do a lot better.
Thank you, though. I think you're work is great, too, and it's
cool that you put up WIPs and stuff. That new one looks awesome,
I really like the hair. c:
I hate when sometimes I go back and look at my art and think
wow, that's terrible I can't believe I even put it up, and I get
a little embarrassed, lol.
I got my tablet for my birthday, and I love it! It's not the best
but it's usually the programs that help, too. Idk. Um, that's a lot
of stuff I've been saying, haha.

Hahah, it's okay -- I love to talk, so having a long message to read and reply to is perfectly fine with me.
You, though, you're more savvy with dA than I am. I don't even know how to change my font size on here, haha.
Yeah, I'm really lazy. I've never done a real-life commission, only mini gaia commissions.
But for right now, I prefer it this way. I would love to be more of an "artist" but I can't bring myself to.
I have such a busy home life: a toddler, I'm pregnant, and I have to keep up with my family home (there are seven of us that live here). I guess I have no ambition to do commissions because I hate to say I'll do something and then not want to do it. Especially since I'm so often stressed and irritated.
I do the same with my art -- post it and then look back and say "damn, what was I thinking?"
But then I think about it.. and I post things just so I can get that little bit of love. Without it, without the two favourites, maybe a comment, I wouldn't WANT to draw. If nobody thought anything I did was even remotely good, I would be too depressed to even bother drawing. So it is totally worth posting WIPs and unfinished pieces. Somebody is going to like it no matter what. (:
Well, I'm totally going to keep up with your work because I think you're excellent.
And it's always awesome to have a follower, a friend, or just somebody to chat to -- so I'll be sure to comment and fav all my favourite works of yours. I might as well, right ? ^_^
I have a bamboo fun but no pen for it. I remember lending it to my sister because it worked with her computer but we haven't been able to find it since I moved. So I might get a new pen.. or I might get a cheap tablet. They have some NICE cheap tablets out there, so, I have a chance to get something nice and new. And I know my art will change 90% once I get a tablet. Using a mouse is daunting.. and though I know I can make due with it, it isn't very fluid or pretty looking. The first piece I ever did digitally (it's, like, the girl with the fork, she's a homestuck fantroll -- I didn't even know what the hell that was when I drew it) came out awesome.. and then everything since has looked sort of mediocre.. I know I could do so much better with a tablet. d: Some day ! And it will be a glorious day.. haha. But until then, I'mma keep trying to master the mouse.
I think I've started rambling.. I'm just as bad. Hahah.

It took me the longest time to figure out how to change
my font size! haha. I hated that it uses html or whatever but
it's just < small > without the spaces. c: I think it only works in
comments and journals, though. I also learned a few other
things, but forgot them just as fast. Oops, that's me, haha.
I've never even done mini Gaia commissions. I've always wanted
to open a shop or something, but I was always afraid I wouldn't
like anyones avatars, or OC's and even if I did, I wouldn't draw it?
Idk, like not drawing to their expectations even though they say
"I like all kinds of art, yadda yadda." There's only 5 of us here, and
I just watch the kids while my mom is at work. Children usually
irritate me, too. Or just me. o.o
Yes, that one tiny fav, that one random comment, is like "Hey, I
saw what you did!" Then I think, okay, go look at the rest of my
stuff and get my name out there, haha. I sincerely hate when I
spend too much time on a piece and something so evident reveals
itself at the end and I think ... Nope. I put far too much time and
effort into this and the only way to fix it is to start all over. And I post
it and sure enough, "Hey, this looks awkward here." Yes, I know.
Idk, yeah, random comments, even constructive criticism ... I need
to be more of a rock and take it seriously? What am I saying, haha.
I'm such a baby when it comes to criticism.
Yes, I would love that. I need more people to talk to. It gets pretty
lonely here online. I've 2 or 3 other peeps I'm actually holding a
conversation with and it makes me feel awesome. c:
I have a Bamboo ... something, I'm not sure what it's called. It's
the green and black one though, if that means anything. I'd just get
a new pen? They can't be that expensive, right? Unless you don't
like that tablet, haha, then by all means get a new one. I want a
new one ... but I like this one, too. I've only even gone through one nib.
I lost the connector plug thing for it so I've been using one of my old
phone chargers, haha. I don't think I could manage with a mouse. D:
That's why you're awesome, too!
Keep rambling! Even if I take a while to respond, it's cause I'm lame
and am trying to think of something cool to say. o.o

Yeah, I'm computer savvy and everything but I never wanted to learn html or anything like that. One of my best friends went to school for that stuff and coding and I have no idea how she is so good at it. Hahah. It's crazy stuff. But thank you ! I didn't realize it was that simple. d:
The cool thing about gaia art shops is that they don't -have- to be serious.
I run a shop that I open and close whenever I please. When I open, I take five or six commissions, close for drawing, draw them, and then re-open whenever I decide to (which is normally just when I'm questing an item.. I'm not a collector of items, just the few I wear). I normally draw whoever commissions me.. but I don't ever feel like I -have- to. I tip the posts I draw, it's in my "shop rule" or whatever. So I still reserve the right not to take a commission if I don't want to. But most of the time I like the avatars.. unless they're unbelieveably cluttered or WAY to girly. -- If you're interested, I'm starting a joint shop with a friend and we're really not that good. If you'd like, you could try out being in a shop by taking on a "guest artist" role. Just an offer, of course. My gaia name is Malveillants if you want to friend me there, too. c:
I like kids.. but it took me a long time babysitting to learn to like them.
So, I'm sure it comes with a great deal of patience and trying not to cut their little heads off. Hahah.
-- But yeah, every freakin' time. Never ceases to amaze me that just a tiny bit of interest in my art makes me jump up and be like "you like it ? seriously ? >.> are you effing with me? no ? well thank you !" Hahah.
But I do that so often.. and I always try to finish it because I don't really want to start over (so. lazy. haha). I did this commission once, correction I'm still technically working on it.. and the girl was like " i dont like this this and this " so I completely forgot about it and refuse to work on it because, looking at it, makes me want to puke. I could have done SO much better but I guess I was still getting my bearings trying digital on a mouse, so it looks like poop.
I think if I get a tablet it will be an intuos. I like wacom a lot but I didn't like my bamboo fun. And the pen runs for 60$ on amazon.. which is stupid because I only paid 90$ for the tablet itself. Hahah. So, really, it makes more sense for me to just buy a whole new tablet and scrap this one on amazon and make 20$. o.o But it's give and take. Wacom has some awesome stuff and some ridiculously priced things for beginners. So, you learn through the buying process what you should have done better.. haha.
Sometimes I take a while to respond, too.
I have a lot going on in my crazy little life but it's always nice to get away and discuss something with somebody. ^^

I wouldn't mind taking a class like that, but I'd have
to take other things with it and I'm not so sure I'd pay attention
like I should, haha. So lazy, even thinking about school, ugh.
Hmmmm, I might take you up on that offer. Maybe then I'd
actually have the exp to make my own shop. o.o and acquire
some gold. Practice is always good, too. Every time I think I have
enough they price it twice as much on the MP, stupid inflation! D:
I love that like everyone on your profile has giant wings, heh.
I have wings but not like those; I've got Wayward and Unlawful Son.
I guess that counts as a collection?? Cause I'm working on the
other 2 Son items, heh. Also, I sent a request. c: I've got the same name.
Sometimes, I like kids... Most of the time, they just annoy me, haha.
It's cool when they're like 5 or 6 and they can take care of themselves
for the most part, and I just do whatever, just make sure they don't
burn down the house, but babies?? Eh, diapers, and crying and
whining, I just wanna scream. D: But I don't. Weird thing is that I
make more money babysitting for one day than I do at work one day.
It's really a good feeling, haha. Except sometimes I worry too much and
think "no one likes it, I effed up, I should just delete it, ew." and then
I get all sad and depressed, but I think other things contribute to it
so I have problems, omf. ._. I get more compliments at school then I
do here on dA. Which makes sense? Cause I usually have stuff in my
binder and people can't seem to mind their own business and blurt out
"Hey, that's cool, did you draw that?" Yes, I did. TAHNKS. ; v;
Hah, I'm so lame. Wow, I had no idea a silly pen would be
priced so high, that's just ... dumb. o.o Yeah, I'd go for a new tablet. Maybe
a "good" one, too, like nifty, but not too expensive-- wow, ignore me
I make no sense. >.> I've never sold anything on Amazon, lol. I don't
understand it and I'm afraid they'd just take my money or something.
Pssh, take all the time you need. I know you're way busier than I am, hah.
It is nice to meet people and actually hold solid conversations! And I think
I really need that, too. Wish I could do that in real life. D:

Yeah, I'd really like to take some classes just to get a better handle on some of the aspects I blatantly ignore while drawing. Hahah. I feel like, in high school, I never paid much attention because I was part of my teacher's "elite" honors group. And all that means is that we had a great handle on all the subjects she taught so she let us just do art instead of paying attention and having to follow her lessons. But, in turn, I really did just shove out all the parts I didn't care about. Which sucks now because I don't even want to -worry- about the principles and shit.
You're more than welcome to ! I'll talk to Blood_Red_Night and see what she thinks but I'm sure she'd be thrilled. We're both incredibly lazy artists. I only like to line art and she only likes to colour. Not that I'm a terrible colourist.. I'm just.. there it is again -- LAZY. Hahah. I do a single base colour and then cell-shade once. Maybe twice depending on the tone of the colour. And whenever I try to blend ? Nope -- forget it. It's a disaster. This last piece I put up was a 2bil request. He ended up giving me 2,222,222,222 for it, haha, and then asked me to do his new current avatar. I was like "it took me so long. ;n; Now I have to do another for the same person ? It either has to be the exact same quality or better. Damn." And I found that when I draw them on paper and scan / take a foto of it to line, my work comes out significantly better.
Hahah. Yeah. We like wings. ^^ Actually, I only have wings because my new best friend (I never thought I'd meet somebody so fucking awesome in the marketplace) needed a couple more bil to get -his- wings, so he sold me my wings 4 or 6 bil under the average marketplace value. I ended up giving him 1.5bil more and he accepted art as a trade. So I'm working on a "freebie" for him right now.. though I want to re-draw it because it is so ill proportioned. And Blood, who is the cute guy on my profile.. with the white and brown ? She's a girl. {: But she's totally awesome and I love her. Hahah. So I bet she'll become one of your friends, too. She's always complaining about how she only gets messages from her friends (except me -- I love to talk, haha) when they want free art. So the three of us would actually make a decent art shop, I think.
Kids, though.. They really do grow on you. My boyfriend and I got back together (we were high school sweethearts) after he has a kid with another girl. When I met "little A" he was only 8 months old. And I couldn't stand the thought that he had had a child with some girl three months into their relationship. (my boyfriend was a slut while we weren't together for four years) It took me a little while.. but little A's bio mom almost never sees him. And she has a new 5 month old or something, so, obviously we could tell she isn't that interested in being a mom to little A. So I decided to take on that role, reluctantly. Very reluctantly. (I'm nearly 23, so I figured it was time to buck up and be an adult, right ? Hahah.. I had to sometime or I would have wanted to stay a kid forever) But little A is so cute and I love him right to pieces.. and the biggest part ? I used to -fucking hate- babies crying but now I have learned to laugh at it because it's just emotion they don't know how to handle. I'm not saying kids are for everybody.. but once they're yours.. it's completely different. Plus, I'm three (+) months pregnant right now, so I guess I better get used to it if I haven't already.
When I was in school, people totally abused my artistic talents. They'd have me and one other artsy girl work on every. single. project. And I ended up painting our tiger mascot on drum skins for the band.. and I did the ENTIRE backdrop for my graduation (tissue paper flowers, big-ass diploma on a stick hanging across the bottom.. painted sappy quote). I did bulletin boards and Valentine's Day projects for certain "groups" within the school.. so when I left, I didn't want to go to school for art. Hahah. I drew tattoo ideas for friends, pictures of spongebob and patrick getting stoned for another friend.. god. I drew stupid things for people. But they loved it.. and the initial happiness -they- got from getting a piece of art be it lame or fabulous was enough to keep me wanting to draw for them. It made me happy, too.. so I probably should have started taking commissions or something, haha but I just never thought I was good enough. Trust me. You're good enough. If one person likes it, there is no doubt that people would buy it. -- I painted these owls for my boyfriend's mom, grandma, and sister for christmas.. and just two days ago his mom was giving me shit for doing commission over gaia for fake money. A) you have no idea how hard it is to be an artist, lady ! B) you have no right to judge me ! and C) If I thought I was good enough to paint for people.. I would. But I sort of suck at painting. Hahah. But she told me if I did more owls, as much as I hate mass-producing, she would sell them at the place she works and I could make 20 / 25$ a pop on them. So I might actually take her up on her offer. Hahah. But that would mean getting an array of canvas sizes and new paints. Ugh. So much money has to go in before it comes back out.
And yeah, I just about peed myself when I saw the prices. For that, I can just can a nicer tablet and throw down a few more dollars, right !? Gosh. Have to get the little one up -- I've been typing forever haha. c:
Talk soon ! And feel free to message me on Gaia ! c:

Ah, same! Except I just didn't pay attention but did a lot
of the homework, and if I really cared then I did extra credit, haha.
I never went into AP classes, though, only CP 'cause ...wait for it...
LAZY! xD Ha, that's terrible and it's following me into college, which
is not so good. o.o That and procrastination go hand in hand.
I despise my lineart, but probably because there's a much easier
way to do it and I just don't care to find out how. Sometimes I think
my style is unique, though. I like coloring but again, there's got to be
an easier way to do it, ha. Or I'm just lazy, of course. I see a lot of
tutorials and think 'I can totally do that.' and then go try to do it
and like 'what.' I usually just use the marker thing until it looks good
enough for me, heh. Yeah, the quality part scares me. Like I feel they'd
expect a lot from me and if I don't deliver then they'd throw a fit or
something and I wouldn't know how to handle that. o.o but most of
the time they're like 'ah, it's awesome! yay!' WOO! I did something right!
Wings are so cool, heh. Ha, I hope I didn't confuse you when I sent
the friend request. The base is fem but I have a lot of guy items?
I only have about 4 or 5 finished avatars which are also OC's so I might
switch between them every once in a while. o.o That would be so cool
though! I'm totally up for the art shop idea if you guys are, too! c:
Man, I hate to admit it but it's so true. My little siblings are the best
(and the worst at times. >.>) Like I never thought babies were
cute or adorable, I just thought they were alien looking and weird, but
when my mom had Jennie, she was funny looking of course but the more
I watched her grow, the cuter she got and damn. Max, too. He's the cutest
little shit right now, it's unbelievable. But I'm still at the point where I just
don't want kids. I've gone through a lot of pain and things and I don't
think I could handle such a huge responsibility any time soon. But, I don't
even have a boyfriend right now! So things might change if I meet that
super special someone. >.> Pfft. I shouldn't keep my head so low to the
ground though, or he might just walk right by.
Um, congrats if I haven't said so yet!
People didn't abuse my artistic abilities in school. o.o Though, I wasn't
much of a talker or whatever so no one really got to know me or even
blatantly asked, either. I've done quite a few things for friends and whatnot
though. Like we would write each other notes and I would always doodle
on my end. Sometimes on my home/classwork, too. Then my teachers would
respond to my doodles, ha. That was always funny. That's about it, though.
I wasn't in any clubs or anything. Not even sports. 1. Lazy 2. Anxious
I'm so not a people person. No wonder I can't sell anything, haha.
I think I've gone through about 3 song typing, lol. Well, hope everyone
is doing good! I need a nap, I hate cashiering! It's so bad for my back. ; n;
Can't end this on a bad note, though! SO ... um ... I shall try to message
you on Gaia. c: I'm bad at conversation though, so I'm not sure what to
message you about, haha.

Sorry I didn't get back to this sooner.
I had a whole bunch of commissions && have been working my butt off.
But since we've been talking about the joint shop, I decided to back up, end trades, and give everybody their traditional arts as freebies. That way I'll be ready to take on the art shop -- oh, and I did tag you in the thread where Blood wanted to talk about how we're going to get things up and running. So, if your friend is interested, tag her or have her reply. c:
You know.. being lazy is the exact reason I decided not to go to college.
I knew I wasn't going to want to take so much responsibility on..
But high school was a joke. I literally passed with all As and Bs with minimal effort.
The only class I ever actually tried -at all- in was AP English because I knew I had to take it semi-seriously.
I guess "I'm a highly intelligent underachiever," lol. I don't know if I've used that phrase on you yet but one of the characters on the show Weeds says that about himself and I couldn't help but steal it. Hahah.
I.. don't think there is an easier way to line art.
Though I hate to say it, Sai really makes line art as easy as it can be (I mean, I've never used Manga Studio.. but I might guess that that program would be a teensie bit easier, but I'll never know, lol). I don't like to colour because I'm lazy.. but line art is the only thing I truly love (thank you, comics) about art. I'm a total "just lines" sort of gal.
Have you ever actually used to "linework" layer & tool ? That is the SHIT. Seriously. You can change all your lines, re-size everything.. god, it's a beautiful thing. If you've never actually played with it, you should. It's amazing! And if ever you want, I have a livestream account where you could watch me line a piece I've sketched or something if you felt like it was too complicated to try to figure it out (which I doubt.. but I LOVE to watch livestreams and think it's awesome to watch others work).
But I don't think anybody would tell you they wouldn't pay for your art just because it wasn't up to par. So long as you have a link to your dA / examples, people will know what type of art you do and will give you, if it's a bribe shop, what they think it is worth. I like the idea of a bribe shop a LOT better than a priced shop for that reason. It gives me a good idea of what people are willing to pay and I always get about 500mil - 2bil per piece depending on what I'm doing. And right now, where everything is lowering in the MP again, 2bil is fuckin' awesome, you know ? o.o
Hahah, no, I'm not confused by male-type avis. Blood_red_night is a male avi, completely, but she's a gal. I didn't notice that it was a feminine base, but I suppose it doesn't really matter because the only difference is abs // boobs. d: I have.. one finished avatar.. and a bunch of items I play with all the time now, so I suppose I'm a lot further behind than you and many others. I've only been active on Gaia since January even though I've had my account for years. I decided to use it for the art practice and ended up making some great friends.. so now I'm on there all the time, haha.
I TOTALLY know where you're coming from about kids, though.
Like I said, I absolutely hated babies for.. well, all my life. But when my high school sweetheart and I got back together, his son is, like, the cutest blonde haired, blue eyed little shit I've ever met. And he's loved me since day one. So I suppose I had to change my mind about babies. Lol. And now that I'm pregnant (and thank you very much.. even though I struggle with wondering if I should be allowing myself to go through this with my jobless, lazy boyfriend.. :c ) I sort of have to accept that I'm going to have a little one of my own. I just hope it's a girl. And it's cute. Hahah. But I won't know that for another four weeks, unfortunately. Kids, though.. I've babysat this little girl, a friend of my sister and me, for three years. She'll be six this fall, and I babysat an 11 and 6 year old set of siblings, so I've been through the spectrum of ages.. and it gets to much easier once you get to know them. As for siblings, I'm the youngest of two -- I'll be 23 in December and my sister will be 26 next June. I always sort of wanted a little sibling but am infinitely glad, now, that I don't have one. Hahah. But let me tell you, I am NOT ready to have a baby. My mom is all "baby fever" bringing shit home and she comes up to me "isn't this cute, and this ? and this ?" and I'm just, like, "uhh.. yup. I guess so." Hahah. I think I've been trying to ignore the fact that I'm pregnant since I don't feel pregnant, even at 17 weeks. Which is fucked up.. haha. -- But for sure, you will change your mind. I think, for most people, you have to know a great kid to want one of your own. Remember.. bad kids aren't bad because they were born that way. They were raised that way. c;
For the longest time I was SO shy.. but in my homeroom in 8th grade, this boy kept picking on me, right ? And one day I got real sick of his shit. So I threw him into a glass door and started kicking at him. Needless to say, people started respecting me and talking to me. Even though I hated talking to people, it was nice to feel recognized as somebody other than the fat girl (yup!) who kept to herself. So, when I got to high school, it was a whole different set of circumstances. I had a slew of teachers who loved my personality so it was so easy to open up to them about how I felt about school and the people. Ultimately, I was from a very small school (graduating class of maybe 55 kids) and getting along with teachers makes all the difference in that sort of setting. I was only in one group -- FBLA (future business leaders of america) because my accounting teacher, who loved my sister, made me join because of my innate leadership skills.. I wasn't in any other groups, but I did a lot of work with / for them because it helped me get everything I wanted in HS. Lol. I guess I had better teen years than I like to admit, huh ? I didn't do sports.. though for some reason I always wanted to play field hockey. I really have no idea why.. it just looked brutal and fun to beat other girls with sticks, haha. XD But I was always so big and thought they'd never accept me (even though most of the girls on FH really liked me). I didn't want to slow anybody down, haha. But besides that I'm not even remotely interested in sports. o.O Waste of time, really.. unless you're super competitive.
I would ALWAYS doodle on my homework, too ! And my teachers loved it ! (people love people who can draw, honestly, because it is a skill only a small percent of people are good at.. or want to take the time to be good at) They would comment on my doodles or give my doodles their own grade. It was pretty funny and it kept any harshness I might have gotten myself into at bay.
And yeah, here I am listening to A Perfect Circle ( I'm soooo old that I still love APC ;n; ) and I think I've gone through.. four, maybe five whole songs ? So I should probably stop. Lol.
