Me too... I hope I can get back before one of my favorite horses is sold!

And do you want to ride again?/How long since you last rode? I had a period of my life barn-less for a year, it drove me insane.

I didn't even get my first horse until I was in my 30's, I picked him out myself and got a horse who was totally wrong for me! After working with my trainer for awhile she found me a gorgeous, so dark he looked black, Thoroughbred/Quarter horse gelding named Casper. So I sold the horse I had to and bought him, he was nice I won a lot with him. Then I got a 2 year old Quarter horse mare so I had two horses! Both of them ended up winning Grand Champions but it was getting SO expensive to board them, the trainer, the shows, well you know! Plus I was starting to go out there less and less. To make a long story short I ended up selling them both to two 12 year old girls who loved them dearly. I do miss it though, I loved going out to the barn in the morning and taking a ride. Hopefully I'm going to buy a little farm soon where I can horses, dogs, cats, pigs ha ha you name it! I think having a horse is something every girl should do and I hope that it works out that you'll be able to have one someday too, even if you wait until your 30's!!

Wow, that sounds amazing! I'm in love with this one horse named Gus, and he's by no means a $100k purebred warmblood eventer, but he's amazing and has so many quirks and talents. If it were him being given away I'd no doubt beg all my relatives to donate money for board and more lessons and shows, but unfortunately I can't do that for Morrie, because he's a sweetiepie but he's getting old and deserves a quiet life with some little girl, instead of cantering rounds of jumps with me... but the fact that he's just being given away for free astounds me, Morrie's a real amazing horse. It's funny how those things work, I guess. And yes, I plan on having a farm with horses & dogs when I'm older too, that's basically my dream life. I'll just have to marry a rather rich guy I guess!
