its one of the most beautfiul places in the world i would say, even though i havnt been everywhere, but who cares. lol. anyway, i would say going to the beach, or into the city are some fun things to do. but it depends on the individual. not everyone may like doing that. they can do pretty much anything they want to though... check out the animals, go to the "outback", go to the mountains.. anything. clubbing if they want. hahahaaaa. whatever.
im sure that your friend will love it here though, whatever they do...
even if all they did was laugh at the accent...

Furthermore, some help with your avatar business: 50x50 refers to the resolution (which I'm sure you knew), however, finding an image already 50x50 will be very hard and time consuming. Although, if you are dead set on combing through the internet in hopes of finding a dA frindly sized avatar, you may want to start here in dA, as there are some artists who specifically submit these avatars.
Otherwise, get a graphics program and make one yourself, or find an online utility to downsize it for you. Even if you only have access to ms-paint, one of the windows displays the size of the working canvas, which you can resize to 50x50. Or to make the process a bit easier, Imageshack has a utility where it will automatically resize an image for you, although the smallest size is only 100x75. However, that does help because than all you have to do is open the image up in ms-paint and crop the unnecessary stuff.

If you have photoshop when you open a new document, you can set the size of the image to 50 x 50. Or if you want to make a square image shrink down to 50x50 you can go to image size and change it there, or if you have MSpaint, you'll just have to drag the canvas to the size you want. On the bottom right corner it shows the canvas size when you move it. There may be another way in MSpaint but I dunno, I rarely use it.
