# About me

Bio? Well, I'm a carbon-based life form...
Oh, not that sort of bio? Okay then...*sigh*

Hi, I'm Hopeless (yes, really), bu you can just call me Dylan.
My passion is working with Australian Stock Horses and brumbies. From time to time I dabble with art styles and am slowly but surely finding my own style and quirks. I specialize in horses, as should be expected, but also try out My Little Pony-styled art.

Anything else? Hrm...
Yeah, Chrysalis is best bug-pony-thing and Roodaka is best bug-mechanoid-thing.

LOTS have been happening to me since we last chatted.  Half good.  Half bad.  But I am still around.  So there is that.

I rather it just be calm.  Fun can come later.  And the good kind of fun.

That's fair. Though for me, if nothing is exciting, then something has probably gone wrong. Quiet days are the worst in veterinary medicine because it means there's an urgent case somewhere that I'm not actively dealing with, and there's always an urgent case.

The right alcohol to drink? Or is the legal drinking age different over in Australia? Over here the legal drinking age is the very reasonable age of 21.

hopelessOC In reply to Alomar3882 [2017-02-01 13:32:50 +0000 UTC]

It's legal in Aus from 18 in registered establishments, no strict age limit on private property (the legislation is kinda murky regarding that, but it's technically unrestricted). And I'm not a drinker anyway, so it's a moot point. Apart from the occasional scotch, I just don't care for it.

Never heard of him. I mean actually goats. Have you ever locked horns with a goat? It's kinda fun, but you need to catch them in a good mood or they'll utterly wreck you.

So I have been playing through Dead Money again. It always gets me. It has such a deep plot behind it. And the sentence. "getting inside is not the hard part. It's letting go".

hopelessOC In reply to Alomar3882 [2017-02-06 09:43:10 +0000 UTC]

It's a fantastic DLC. My favourite is still Honest Hearts, given how well it shows all aspects of conflict and what a lifetime of war can do to a person, but Dead Money still deals with that bit of human nature we all have to suffer through. Greed is a powerful motivator, but it can lead to ruin so easily.

This time around I was able to make sure everyone BUT Elijah lives through the whole thing. For Dean I just have to play the dumb trusting follower and NEVER call him out on his bullS***.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hopelessOC In reply to Alomar3882 [2017-02-07 00:03:11 +0000 UTC]

Exactly. Elijah always dies in the best possible ending. I kinda like Dean. He's a prick, but you know he's really good at it. You can respect him for his skill, if not his personality. Christine is kinda underdeveloped all things considered, but it's nice to finally meet Veronica's former lover in the field, and being able to help her out was cool. But Dog/God was easily the best character. Both sides of his personality were fantastic. I loved working with him.

You know Christine was Veronica's girlfriend before she went on a one woman revenge trail to get Elijah. It is a bit strange that she decides to be the "warden" of the Serria Mardre? Mostly because WHY? With the chopper cloud( is the best explanation I can give to the poisons brown dust cloud that cover all parts of the Serria Marde. ) surrounding the whole place and the location itself should be enough to keep BoS, Super Mutants, Raiders, NCR, Prospectors, The Instatut, and whoever else Bethesda has yet to announce the "big threat" since the Enclave is DONE. Instead the player character should have had the chance to convince Christine to recensile with Veronica and as a bonus after the whole BoS disaster Veronica can just leave and have a life with Christine.

Nah, I think it's better that Christine stays at the Sierra Madre. The place needs its guardian, and somebody to prevent the ghost People from getting out.
Ever played the TCM Dust? It goes on to explain what will happen if the Tunnelers from Lonesome Road and the Cloud from Dead Money spread to the Mojave. Christine must remain behind to defend the place. It's where she is needed.

You do know Sinclair made the chopper cloud, Ghost People, and the >8T super unfair death holograms. He made all that FOR ONE WOMAN! It even saids in the vault that Sinclair made sure that NOTHING can access the tech. that makes the chopper cloud, ghost people, and the F***ing holograms. If a person does and being that like cats curiosity would compel a human to click on that file titled "Sinclair personal files". They would be killed instantly and turned into a hologram. It was to be Sinclair's middle finger to Dean for manipulating Vera to seduce him into giving up the "secrets" of the vault. But Sinclair was too smart for his own good and knew about the plan ahead of time. He just loved Vera so much that he just did not care about the fact that the power grid to the entire land was tied to the grand opening to the Sierra Madre. Or that he wasted billions of dollars commissioning Big Empty to make the holograms. Or making chopper dust in huge amounts and putting them in the air vents. Or giving the work staff "special chemical suits" that once put on would kill them and with special bullS*** science gas make them halfway immortal. The ENTIRE DAMN PLACE WAS TO KEEP VERA INSIDE! So I doubt even The Instatut could control or replicate such powers.

Alomar3882 In reply to hopelessOC [2017-02-07 14:47:11 +0000 UTC]

No I don't. I have seen there type before. They think because they have all the knowledge and the robots and the ability to make weapons and such they think they know whats best for the world. Well look what happened as a result. Their home is a crater, their synths are no longer under their control, and they are left to be like everyone else and fend for themselves in The Wasteland. Which from what I have seen from one man from Fallout 3 to videos on YouTube they regard everything up there as a joke. Easy for you to say when you live in a palace that grows none radioactive food and have never had to murder someone just to see another day. So yeah the Institute are the joke.

hopelessOC In reply to Alomar3882 [2017-02-07 23:24:01 +0000 UTC]

Check again. The Institute is playing God. If any group has the ability and idiotic desire to conquer the Sierra Madre, it's the Institute: they have the synths. They have the only thing that the Cloud can't harm. And they have they have the ability to keep on piling in the synths and take of the Sierra Madre by weight of sheer numbers.
