Yeah! Here's my honest opinion: it's mellifluous and down-to-earth, because people can relate to it, teenagers at most, but mostly the mature ones. I must say, you have an exquisite way of expressing yourself, when you read it, it seems like the words are flowing out naturally onto paper. ^__^ You do have the soul of a poet! A word of advice, mate, try to whittle down on the swearing bit, if you get my drift? Teens also tend to convey their emotions and whatnot by overdoing it sometimes - which I personally don't want to see that happening to you since you've got skill. I do hope you don't get offended by that, since I mean well. Cheers!

Well, the swearing is just me. I bring it in occasionally 'cos I only write at extreme moods. When I'm high, ecstatic, pissed off or just downright depressed.

I swear often enough la.

I don't really try to write, I just let it come out so I guess my surface thoughts are pretty sweary.

Hmm...well, I'm not telling you to completely stop swearing in your poems, just...sharing some thoughts and being frank and honest with you. As long as you feel that it boosts your creativity or if it makes your feel comfortable, go with it! Be yourself! Hey, after all, it's what you write and what you feel, so just let it out in prose form. You've got the knack for it and mind you, when I say that, your work is not some twisted writing with sounds forced and boring, just a "Look what i can do!!!!" half-past six job - it's more than that.

I've seen this 26 year old American lady whose art is a real treat to behold write books and prose like she doesn't want to. She's recently published (vanity press!) a fantasy book, and I was just viewing the reviews yesterday. My, there aren't pretty adjectives at all...

Another minor subject that disturbs me is teenagers swearing. It's as common as saying hello nowadays. Why do they do that? I'm not holding anything against you, just plain curious.

Yes, you do sound a bit twice my age. But it's perspective.

I know you're not telling me to stop swearing. I'm just being myself. I'm not necessarily mild-mannered and classically polite, but then it'd just be a little bit conceited of me if I tried... too hard.

I appreciate that you think good of my work.

Swearing? Well, to be frank, I honestly think the adults of the previous generation swore as much or nearly as much as people do now, it's just that once you grow old, you don't exactly want to set a bad example for your future. I, for one, wouldn't encourage swearing in my children at a young age, but doubtless they -will- learn how to swear regardless. It's just one of those things. Some people swear, some don't.

As for why people swear. Iunno, really. Emphasis. A lack of something better to say. Which in a lot of cases, seems to work better than saying something else.

One of those things... apparently. Don't ask me. I get annoyed when I get told 'one of those things', too.
