you are a strange person, sasha -=
of all my new pieces and you fav 'sorrow'?
i like it, don't get me wrong...it's just that - i don't feel it's the strongest one from this session. it always interests me which one's you comment on as well as fav - because you are a bit more perceptive and analytical than the average viewer.
long way of saying - thank you.

Aw thank you kindly. I had spent a long time looking at Stairway to Heaven, too. I'll say what I wanted to say about it on the actual image.
Sorrow reminded me mildly of a yoga pose I enjoy called rag doll. But only a little. If she was doing it, she would be bent down at the waist.
Speaking of which.. an awesome idea would be models doing yoga poses. There's some pretty ones out there. =]
Much love, as always. <3

yeah, the images i shot of kristianna - she had several in that
session which were yoga poses. and dennis chunga, a photographer here on deviant was to shoot a model the other day doing all yoga positions.
they definitely make for fascinating compositions.

Not on dA, are we? Not answering friends, are we? He he, I just wanted to say don't feel like it's such an obligation to answer me fast, because then it becomes such a boring burden and you won't even log in here. No guilt trips, friend.

I just found out that my idol Michael Haneke won the Gold Palm in Cannes with his new film 'Das Weibe Band', I had to share it with someone and you're the victim. To me, this is Christmas Eve, of sorts. This win guarantees the film will be distributed in Sweden. I only ever go to the movies when there's a new film by Hanke, Cronenberg or Miranda July. I'm so happy now, friend!

Back from Prauge. Like Max Brod said, it's the City of Evil. History is showing, everywhere. Milan Kundera wrote of Old Town Squere, I've waited 18 years to see it. I got all emotional.
How are you? In Spain? Those Spanish people, they like their favo.

you just have to be a cool person...there's no doubt.
only - i do like loons...and you've already stated that you aren't one - so now, i don't know, man - starting to plant the seeds of doubt in my head.

well, i was thinking more loon, like the bird, but pirate-gypsy sounds pretty awesome.
miniature pony, huh? hmmm, might be hard getting him/her into the shop. unless he/she fits into your pocket or something.

I just watched 'Weirdsville'. I hardly ever have any faith in movies I'm about to see so I expected nothing. After a while I started laughing. Then I laughed some more; It ended up being wonderful!
"Marshall MacLuhan, wasn't he the guy who started Sex Pistols?"
The film reminded me in several ways of 'Chain of Fools' directed by TRACTOR, have you seen that? Me thinks you'd like it.
There were so many hilarious moments, like when the kid tied in the bath tub thinks he's about to get butt-fucked by mountain men and then they smoke weed together instead. And the Satanists, they get summed up pretty accurate ha ha.
A weird fact: The guy who gets the icicle through the head (ha ha) is played by Matt Frewer who I instantly recognized as being Max Headroom, a fake computer generated character who performed with The Art of Noise on a vinyl single I had. Like, hey Sasha did you know?
What were your objections to the ending?

I'm so glad you saw it! =]
If it's similar I'm sure I'd like Chain of Fools. I'll add that to mah imdb list. lol
Haha the Satanists were a blast! I especially love the part were the guy starts saying, "You set this up all wrong! You don't have the pentagram pointing to the altar, and the crosses are upside down but the people on them aren't!" It was priceless.
Hunh. That's really neat. The world is so small.
My objection... Well, it seems the entire movie was sort of showing the downside of their lifestyle. A few times they talked about quitting drugs. But at the end, when the rich hippie dude offered them a hit, and they looked at each other and went for it anyway, I feel like it just sort of destroyed a lesson. The entire happy ending scene felt so out of place compared to the rest of the movie. Maybe that's just me.

Oh you haven't seen 'Chain of Fools', then I hope you find it. That was a movie I rented just by chance and had never heard of and then laughed the whole film through, had to buy it and see ten times more.
Yeah the satanists weren't too hip when it came to worshipping right; that's a detail I liked; that they had all the 'right' literature and still ended up with a confused mish-mash of ideas (this I think goes for a lot of believers of many faiths these days)...
I actually had that thought about the ending too; I was kind of surprised they chose to go that way, especially since the film had earlier dealt with how the life of a junkie is comparable to a dead mouse in the sewer and there's nothing cool about being strung out and not having a clue as to what you're doing. I got the feeling the filmmakers sort of changed their minds at the last second, like "hey it's a cool movie let's be bold and say they stay wasted!" The dilemma is then that the audience thinks they've seen ninety minutes of non-preachy, rational views on drug use and suddenly get hardline drug propaganda.

I will definately give Chain of Fools a try.
I agree. I think it made an excellent statement on religion in general. Be it the absolutely ridiculous strictness of Iran or those that believe the literal translation of the Bible.
Mhm. I agree about this as well. =[
