May I use your Aiming codes for My MUGEN Kyogre Boss and My MUGEN Minigame Chromium BSU?

Thank you, I'm still proud of your Cheap chars.

I recently learned of a new code that works for MUGEN thanks to DeuceOvSpadez.
TagIn: Changes the state of the user as well as partner.
Yes this is actually a thing. It's a "hidden", undocumented code just like noko. And yep it's most definitely useful for tag team characters.

Interesting.

State detection and TagIn?

CrystalizedSun In reply to ironcommando [2016-03-21 23:25:44 +0000 UTC]
I don't use the Hidden Tagin State type, I used varset using sysfvar(4)
That worked on My edit of yoma and Greninja.

I can do the Seperate MUGEN 1.0 Compatibility with extra state file, so you don't worry about Upgrading.

Have you heard of 'Absolute selfstate'?

I've heard of this as well, but I haven't been able to properly utilize it because it keeps crashing on me.

ironcommando In reply to MUGENRobotThunderGod [2016-03-21 06:38:05 +0000 UTC]
The main prob is that the other guy's state needs to be valid (and not say a helper state) or else weird stuff may happen.
π: 0 β©: 1
MUGENRobotThunderGod In reply to ironcommando [2016-03-25 02:08:45 +0000 UTC]
... Which may be the solution to the reason why it's crashing. Thanks!

Not really sure, actually.

It's putting a selfstate in -1, -2, -3, and setting all of your helper's types to player.
Just so you know, MUGEN is still alive and well, and I know you probably wont, but, at some point, may you please see if you still have any interest in you? Your characters are the most advanced I've seen at least for the time. I wasn't around in MUGEN back then but even though I wasn't, I can still see the originality and power they possessed back then. I'm not asking for a comeback, I'm just asking if you still have any interest in you. Alas, I won't bother any more if you don't want me to.

I might want to come back for a bit when I make some characters... I am making some characters for an original game, but none of them are going to be broken like my older character.
π: 0 β©: 1
MUGENRobotThunderGod In reply to ironcommando [2015-05-14 03:52:14 +0000 UTC]
I'd hardly say they were broken, they were just powerful, and challenging. If you wanna know broken, look at all of the tiers higher than null, now THAT's broken.
π: 0 β©: 1
ironcommando In reply to MUGENRobotThunderGod [2015-05-14 05:03:34 +0000 UTC]
I heard that the strongest tier literally runs a virus that hacks the game. Dragon tier or something...
π: 0 β©: 1
MUGENRobotThunderGod In reply to ironcommando [2015-05-16 00:26:00 +0000 UTC]
Oh yeah, exactly. Now THAT'S broken. Which is why I stick to nukes and nulls.

Neither do I. It takes a lot of bravery to put something like that on your system.

Besides iirc it only works for older mugen. I use 1.0 these days.

I use both, WinMUGEN more so, because it has %n.

True XD
I mainly use 1.0 as I'm developing chars for it.

MUGENRobotThunderGod In reply to ironcommando [2015-05-16 17:18:20 +0000 UTC]
Ha, yeah. I've got 1.0 but balanced isn't my style, so I rarely use it.

But 55 MB... how many effects did you put into that?
Most MUGEN characters tend to be less than 10MB, or maybe <20MB...
π: 0 β©: 2
MUGENRobotThunderGod In reply to ironcommando [2015-05-09 00:00:55 +0000 UTC]
Believe me, characters are way bigger than they were back then.
By the way, just so you know, your old cheap characters, MechaScorpio, 20k, and Christmas Tree have excellent coding, just a little dated though, but that's considering they were made in 2008-2009.
π: 0 β©: 1
ironcommando In reply to MUGENRobotThunderGod [2015-05-11 04:36:09 +0000 UTC]
Indeed they were. A-Bomb was once the cheapest character ever... when it was first released. Now it's widely considered to be the weakest "uber-cheap" character alongside 2nd Death Star.
π: 0 β©: 1
MUGENRobotThunderGod In reply to ironcommando [2015-05-13 03:40:23 +0000 UTC]
Now, there's absolute selfstate(putting an always active selfstate in -2 to nullify targetstates), complete disregard of game rules (%n, null overflow, reversal ignorance(absolute selfstate does this), etc.)
When cheaps like ONI-MIKO-REIMU came out which could completely ignore reversals and targetstates, were you upset you couldn't beat them or were you fascinated you couldn't beat them(I definitely was, oh believe me. I was even late to the party, only started playing MUGEN in 2013.)

ironcommando In reply to MUGENRobotThunderGod [2015-05-13 05:28:51 +0000 UTC]
I was fascinated and deeply impressed. I knewΒ it was a matter of time that there would be eventually something that could beat Chuck Norris (at the time) and wasn't surprised when I saw OMZ being able to do so. In fact I was already impressed at ADS' (the first known character to beat A-Bomb) ability to kill F1.

Haha, yeah. Sadly, I kind of overlooked all of that (I used to laugh my butt off watching videos of Rare Akuma owning characters (2006 or 2007) - 2013, though. (His moon SGS scene was very popular with me) Never really got around to getting MUGEN until the summer of 2013.). When I first got MUGEN, I got 1.0.. I was very MUGEN-illiterate, and so most of my cheaps could be beaten easily by most characters with chaos (i.e a character I made named "Spade"). Then I discovered some powerful defense mechanisms (like absolute selfstate), and at that point I migrated to WinMUGEN for the uber-cheap stuff. (like ONI-MIKO-ZERO).

(Wow, I need to clear my inbox.) By the way, what was going through your mind while making 20k, MechaScorpio, and CTree? Was it something along the lines of, "I can't wait until somebody beats these"?
π: 0 β©: 1
ironcommando In reply to MUGENRobotThunderGod [2015-05-16 14:43:00 +0000 UTC]
Back then cheap char beatdown were a thing. I wanted them showcased... but they were so cheap that nobody dared to fight them with balanced chars.
π: 0 β©: 1
MUGENRobotThunderGod In reply to ironcommando [2015-05-16 15:48:51 +0000 UTC]
So no cheap detector could beat them at that point?
