Honestly I don't mind flying under the radar, I've met some new friends and acquaintances that like the same stuff I do, people that actively look for content like I've started making. I usually check out anyome that favs my stuff and I try to reply to comments, would be a bit harder with a large volume of favs
I feel like some day I'll get noticed suddenly and get a moderate influx of followers and favs, but I'm in no hurry for that. I've thought about making a discord chat for my regulars to hang out in too, food for thought
