Did they have any special brews on the go? The first time I went to the new brewery they had this great dark ale, best mountain goat I have tasted. But damn it, apparently they only brewed 100 kegs of it.

Yeah. I featured him. He was banned .. DD was still up linked to something that wasn't there anymore (but I removed it once spotted!).
As for that public display of explanation for banning, I don't know -- I think it just opens up a pool of ridicule. Maybe it's warranted .. but it's not exactly constructive and doesn't help anyone. Let them cloud themselves with their own wall of shame.

Yeah I don't know, its a difficult thing. Maybe depending on what they are banned for, I'm thinking maybe a category message. Like, 'banned due to copyright / general conduct / etc'. Because at the moment someones banning not only shames them but can be fairly annoying for everyone else. Annoying because peoples curiosity tends to get the better of them, they just naturally want to know what this banned bad boy did.
Ok, I guess people want to know what to laugh at them for.
