I'm doing well enough, I suppose. Life happens every now and again, but we manage.

How are you doing, yourself? It's good to hear from you.

[RANT]
Bluh. The ebb and flow is erratic but unrelenting. Had a decent (if torturous) job for a while, but now it is gone like the tide, and I'm back to looking. I've moved to a different apartment, but now that I haven't a job can't afford more than a month of rent. I was doing well in school, but thanks to the stupid job and their evil scheduling machinations, couldn't enroll for last (or this) semester.
[/RANT]

Apart from all that, everything is fairly normal and blah. Same old horse, just a different color.

Anything new with you? Startling developments? Juicy gossip?

I have realized that both of our deviations with the most comments are thanks to very very long chain comments between the two of us.

(I approve).

Well, I do not doubt you could. I am just stating that here, now, our comment chains are longest.
And so the stats dictate.

minhata In reply to jkarofwilderness [2011-01-06 02:44:55 +0000 UTC]

I am not sure, but curiosity might as well be the death of me.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jkarofwilderness In reply to minhata [2011-01-06 19:39:09 +0000 UTC]

Curiosity never killed anyone. Not even the allegorical cat. Ignorance killed the cat. Curiosity was framed.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

minhata In reply to jkarofwilderness [2011-01-09 23:42:46 +0000 UTC]

Fine, then trying to erase my ignorance upon a topic by putting myself in less-than-desirable positions might as well be the death of me.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jkarofwilderness In reply to minhata [2011-01-11 23:52:35 +0000 UTC]

At least they aren't COMPROMISING positions. Just undesirable and likely dangerous.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

minhata In reply to jkarofwilderness [2011-01-14 03:14:23 +0000 UTC]

Well that would just be plain awkward. Then again, that tends to be advertised beforehand quite clearly.
I can work with undesirable and likely dangerous. Price to pay for being curious, neh?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jkarofwilderness In reply to minhata [2011-01-15 18:45:41 +0000 UTC]

Also danger tends to be exciting, and exciting is a synonym for fun, so clearly dangerous things are fun things too. And anything that fun can't be bad for you.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

minhata In reply to jkarofwilderness [2011-01-18 02:39:47 +0000 UTC]

Ah, that I can agree with that most of the time, bur dangerous things also are often on the wider side of stupid.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jkarofwilderness In reply to minhata [2011-01-19 04:34:16 +0000 UTC]

Often? I would go further than that. I would say they're nigh invariably so.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

minhata In reply to jkarofwilderness [2011-01-25 00:50:12 +0000 UTC]

Aye. But plenty are oh so stupidly fun.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jkarofwilderness In reply to minhata [2011-01-26 07:31:12 +0000 UTC]

Maybe. But that doesn't make them fun.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

minhata In reply to jkarofwilderness [2011-02-07 05:49:06 +0000 UTC]

Perhaps. I'd say they are just fun because they are and that's that.
Like that one time when you and I got those guys from the old reserve up into those ruins and after the whole thing happened (oh, I'm still sorry about your watch, by the way, but it was the only way) we jumped out into the river. Man that was an awkward landing... But fun. It was crazy kinda fun.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jkarofwilderness In reply to minhata [2011-02-08 06:31:59 +0000 UTC]

Man, you just had to bring that up, didn't you!? I loved that watch like an only child...

...

Or not. I don't really remember. Otherwise it was fun, though. That I recall. Too bad Jeremy couldn't come. I know he wanted to.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

minhata In reply to jkarofwilderness [2011-02-13 02:25:52 +0000 UTC]

I'll make it up, yes? Name something. I am still dreadfully sorry!

Still stands.

It was pretty fun. You know why he couldn't go, and he knew it too. Besides, since a year ago or so things between Twenty-three and him have been a bit strained, and she was supposed to go. But didn't. I still find it odd she insists on being called by her old code name, but oh well. Suits her, oddly enough.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jkarofwilderness In reply to minhata [2011-02-16 05:43:48 +0000 UTC]

Nah, it's fine. Surely, you've made it up a dozenfold since. And if not, well, I'll get over it.

Yeah. But still, it's too bad. I mean, circumstances willing, it'd have been nice for him to be there.

Don't get me started on Twenty-Three. She's been in and out of my (and everyone else's, I'm sure) favor the whole time she's been here. If she wasn't such a god-damned good pilot, I'd probably still say she's not worth the trouble.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

minhata In reply to jkarofwilderness [2011-02-20 19:17:57 +0000 UTC]

I am glad you said that. I certainly hope to have made up for it, specially based upon the sheer amount of times we've saved each other's derrières.

Yeah... He'd have enjoyed it. Next time, neh?

Don't you remember where we picked her up? It makes too much sense. Dislike her as I may (specially after the stunt she pulled on me last week, it was horrid), I must admit she's too good at what she does, and has improved her attitude. Almost imperceptibly so, but she has. Or maybe I'm being too much of an optimist. Oh well.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jkarofwilderness In reply to minhata [2011-02-22 17:43:58 +0000 UTC]

We've saved each other's other things a few times, too, don't forget.

Fingers crossed...

No, it's there. Barely, but she's gotten better. I think it's Jamie's fault, the things the do on leave... well it gets it out of her system at any rate.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

minhata In reply to jkarofwilderness [2011-04-08 06:55:48 +0000 UTC]

Yes; all in all, we've saved each other plenty.

You don't need it. It'll work, yes?

Look at the consequences, though... We need to keep them in a much more stable line of work, which is why our shared missions tend to be harsher.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jkarofwilderness In reply to minhata [2011-04-08 18:44:51 +0000 UTC]

It'll work as long as no one ruins it. But I'm still not sure about how many people we've brought in on it.

As long as we can keep up this pace, it should be fine.
