The only way I can think to expand your amount of watchers is to fave and comment other people's work. (well, that, or draw Naruto fanart...bleh) You get yourself out there, and it should expand your audience.
Other than that.. I don't really know. I think getting your art recognized is just something that happens over time.

So I hear. Six degrees of Joel Vollmer would still be a crappy game. Cons? Don't know yet. I'm crazy broke and am still looking for full time work. It's been over a year so financially hurting is understatement. I'd like to get to Chi but it seems unlikely right now. Micro Con here is free so that one sure if I'm still in the area.
Queen soundtracks are always fair game. Never swear them off.

I know the financial brokeness too bud. I wouldn't mind going to Mircro Con. I was doing some research on cons around that area yesterday and today. And it'd pry be cheaper for me as well lol. Possibly anyways.

Well, overall things are 'ok'. I've picked myself up and dusted myself off. I still think about Riley a lot. I have photos of him on my desk, so it's always a smile on my face when I see him. The girlfriend thing, well, I put that to rest and came to terms with it awhile ago. I can honestly say, it wasn't my fault lol. And I'm more focused on artwork and getting money. I want to jump over to the cities this spring if I can and possibly hang with both you and Casey for a day or so. No threesomes tho, sorry. LOL I'm hoping that I win the lottery here soon. I'll send you a friendship check for 15K. Girlfriend checks are higher... but to be honest... Sorry Joel, you're not my type (not to mention, their money goes into a swiss bank account in Mexico )

Thanks, man. I should probably post a commissions thing but still haven't figured out prices and don't have many watchers at this point. At Fallcon (the better of the two MN cons) two dudes actually brought me print outs they made of my work and asked for signatures. Some of the originals were on my table for $5. Very mixed emotions.

I had a guy last year... same one that was giving me crap about my lara croft work back in 07... ask if he could exchange his piece he bought for one of my new ones. And he was serious about it! So if I go, I pray I don't run into him. Or I'm away from my booth.

Con goers have some balls I guess. I thought the print outs were bad but to ask for an exchange is crazy. Just say no. Or make a sign that says all sales are final.

I wouldn't ask her to do that since she can draw the hell out of stuff. But I'd still hope to have a spot nearby. I did well at Fallcon on selling old pages and sketches but some of that is probably due to massive under-pricing. I sold an 11X17 pencil drawing that took about 18 hours for $30. Since I was selling sketches for $10-20 ( instead of $5 thanks to advice from Pat C ) I think the other stuff is still a bit low. It's getting there but I'll take any pricing advice you have. No yogurt.

Yeah Pat knows his stuff for sure. And I the one thing I will only do is get a deal on sunday... like buy 3 get one free type of thing.

My sketch cards, I'm going to be doing 20 for b/w 45 for color anymore at cons.
11x14, I don't know if I'll do those anymore. Maybe 9x12 (Takes up less space in my bags too)
