hey Katey. thanks for your very sincere critique. yeah, color isn't my strong point. it's something I'm aware of. it's something that I've been trying to wrap my mind around, more and more recently. reason being, I'm trying to create more concept art. environments are a paint for me. if you by chance happen to stumble across some good color theory tutorials, please send them my way. I have a few and still look for new, to continue learning. anyhow. I'll continue trying. cheers :) (Smile)

Just take it one drawing at a time, try to make the current drawing a little better than the last one and watch it grow and evolve. Not trying to be a dick, and prolly saying something you already know, start observing thinking about backgrounds. Even if yer not ready to draw them yet, just build your mental stock and they will eventually begin to creep in. But keep pushing the pencil around the page thats what matters most and have fun :) (Smile)

Thanks :) (Smile) I joined an excellent community at conceptart.org forums. They have lots of resources. I'm going back to figure drawing studies for the moment to re-learn the basics of anatomy and get it right
