Hi!!
May I ask something? I am trying not to let my paint bleed, I dont want to work on expensive vinyl sheets is there anyway I can do that I've heard there something named glue spray? or something in these lines.
One more thing I started a 5 layer stencil and am about to finish cutting, what do I start painting from light to dark or dark to light.
And thanks for the inspiring art!!

great gallery. do you take the printmaking specialty in your college?
π: 0 β©: 1
kingstom In reply to mhanifw [2012-05-10 22:00:28 +0000 UTC]
thanks! i didn't learn this in college, but by watching some tutorials on the web and a lot of practice. Otherwise we don't really choose a specialty in the two first years of college but after making a stage in enterprise so i don't know yet.

That's a lot of passion..Great skills you have there.

Two first years of college? It's not a slight difference from my college, we choose specialty after first year of college. Cheers!

A while back I saw one of your halftones and left a comment. Now that I'm working on a new halftone as well, I looked up some halftones to stay focused/get pumped. I ran back into it and decided to check the rest of your gallery.. And holy shit, you've got some crazy stuff. I favourited my.. well, favourites. But Artificial Sun stood out, it's a true gem. Extremely well executed. Just wanted to say that, keep it up.

thanks a lot, i have an expo that has started since one week and the people really like this kind of art. And i should personally thank you because i discovered halftones thanks to you with "you break my heart" that i like a lot. It's a virtuous circle

I'm really happy to hear that. It's always nice when people enjoy an image, but it's so amazing if a piece inspires someone to actually create more/different art. That's worth so much more. Good luck with the expo, looking forward to seeing new pieces!

You have such amazing stuff! How do you go about creating your stencils and such?
π: 0 β©: 1
kingstom In reply to Rusaiji [2011-09-10 11:55:09 +0000 UTC]
It starts with the photomanipulation of the original pictures to add stuffs, set the contrast,... (in photoshop). Then you create the layers from it with the thredgeholder (or some people use the posterize tool). Then you work each layer to smooth it a bit and create all bridges.
It would be a bit long to explain all the pocess but try to look tutorials on youtube.
If not i think i'll do a full tutorial myself. i'll hit u when it drops

Hello!
Welcome to the #BasicMembers family!
We are very happy to have you join us!
If you have any questions then please don't hesitate to ask either via note, or as a message on the group's page.
Here is a brief summary of what this group is about:
First and foremost, this group is about you. We want to see your artwork and have the rest of deviantART aware that just because you don't have a premium doesn't make you any less of an artist.
Second of all, we want you to be aware of all the HTML and CSS you have access to without a premium. Sure, deviantART is somewhat limited without paying for it, but there's still enough available for you to be able to show off your individuality.
We want to grant you the chance to one day be able to experience a premium membership, or have enough points to go towards your brilliant idea of a group. Though this is just an idea now, with your help and support, competitions to award these prizes will become avaiable to you!
Now, we don't have many rules, and we have tried to be as flexible as possible, but the few we have made we'd appreciate if you could follow perfectly.
If you have any questions regarding anything then please don't hesitate to ask, we're more than happy to help you to the best of out ability.
Thank you once again for joining #BasicMembers . We hope you enjoy being apart of the group as much as we do running it!

Ohhh~ I'm not too sure.
I suppose the "Traditional Media" folder would suit stencils, or, what category do you file them under when upload to dA??

hey proficiat met je DD ik werk sinds kort ook met stencils. jij blijkbaar iets langer.

dank u, I'm going to Francisco ferrer which is in Brussels so close from home. I think it's a bit less artistic. Unfortunatly, there is only architecture in st lucas brussels.
good luck to you.

no? there is graphic design in brussels. i went to the convention last year. but its not the same as ghent. in brussels they think more about the concept of what they are making. there is more story behind it than in ghent.

thanks a lot, you got some good skills and quite clean work too. What's nice when you do big pieces is that you have all the time to think about the next one while cuting so when i'm done with one, i allready have a good reference stock of pics to begin with. i just personally don't like to do twice the same thing.
your comments and fave mean a lot, i'll just have to slow down a bit to get back to studies
