Look, if you want to manip one of my photos, all I want is for you to ask. Once you ask, I'll reply promptly and tell if you yes or no, and give reasons why in either case.
The issue that I had was that you didn't ask, just stated that you would without asking my permission. It bothered me. Hence the conversation.
And because you never seemed to understand my point, I'm stating it again. I want you to ask permission before maniping, expressing that you "will" manip the photo, or anything else. That's all.

I do understand your point. I have always understood your point (I think). In future, I will be more careful with what I say.
In my defense, I recently got back on here after a long period of unuse, ~2500 unseen deviations. Going through them very very, quickly, I don't always give a lot of thought to what I say, I saw your photo, was like "oh that'd be interesting to derive from". I intended to compliment you with what I originally said, with the full intention of getting your disapproval if you didn't want me to manip it. But yes, it would have been more tactful to reword my statement as a question - I maintain the rushed nature of the comment contributed to its poor word choice.
I will admit I was taken aback by your rather vehement approach to the affair, and hence the conversation.
I will state this: Yes, I will ask your permission before manipulating, which was my original intended statement.

Oh, and you might not have noticed, but at some point in the conversation I said that you would manip "Firetree" as long as you credited me, linked to the deviation, and stated something like "normally this wouldn't be stock but I'm a special case".
