previous "members" weren't automatically added to the members list, primarily since there never were members, per se, before this regime. i'll go ahead and add you to the list, but in future, the best way to get our attention for things like this is through a note, or whatever the procedure specified is (depending on what the matter is concerning; it's all laid out in our handy little "info" journals linked on the main journal).

we like to do things a certain way, so following the various guidelines really helps that. alexi's a big stickler for organization and such, and i'm a bit spacey and random, so it caters to both of us just fine and keeps everything on track ^-^

if you'd like to join, send us a note with "join" in the subject. it just helps us keep track of who's doing what and what's happening so we can coordinate our efforts better and don't end up trying to do the same thing twice.

There are no actual poems here, despite what it says in the gallery. that was a mistake in clicking while being somewhat affected by lack of sleep.

If you're looking for poetry, however, you can read those submitted for October featured poem, or go check out the October featured poets, as well as those nominated for the November competitions. Or all the ones nominated for October that didn't make the final list (because there are some very talented people there, beyond those who made the final ten).

well... we had to set a line somewhere, and the idea is to focus on those who are solely (or at least mostly) writers, as, in general, writerly people don't get much attention. so, it's more than simply just having a decent amount of work to judge on, though that was also a factor.

okay. nothing's perfect, right? but all we have to go on is the person's writing, and how much of it there is in comparison to everything else. a lot of people have one or two written things thrown in with a lot of art, and frankly, just about anyone can say they're primarily a writer, but if they don't have anything to back that up, how do you differentiate? besides, if someone is primarily a writer, they ought to have a decent amount of material floating around, if not necessarily in their gallery.
