Why hello there you sexy people you.... *cough* I'm just your average, kinda lazy, kinda procrastinate-y, girl. I have recently shifted my focus from art and photography to psychology. Of course I like to use my art and creativity for psychological practices and actually is what I plan on using for my masters thesis. Basically I want to have my cake and eat it to. Are your blogs still active? I have a psychoanalysis of a movie character that I wrote for a psych class. Maybe we could discuss it. But like most blogs, blogs seem to fade away fast, so I would understand if you don't keep up yours.

You have some cool photography for sure! Also noticed you're going into psychology? Well I am actually in a Master's program specializing in Art and Music therapy ^^. If you just want to do art, Naropa in CO is probably good. But if you ever feel art isn't enough and want to incorporate music, dance, drama, creative writing, or whatever, then you may want to look into Lesley University. Just some food for thought

I'm really getting into Positive psych and Contemplative psych. But I also want to incorporate music, art, dance, yoga and stuff like that. After I finally finish my BA (seriously taking forever!) then I'm going into the peace corp for a bit and coming back to do a dual masters/phd program.

Well that's fun, I'm definitely more into the abnormal and developmental psych, using artistic modes of expression in a clinical setting kinda person. How long do peace corps things last? And dual masters/phd sounds suuuper intense!

Yeah, well I would be dealing with abnormal psych but in a different way then most as positive psych is about building up what is right in a person and contemplative psych is teaching them to be mindful of their thoughts so that they can change themselves.
The peace corp thing is about 4 years (or at least the one I want to go to) but I would be back in the states every 6 months or so for a month.

Well that sounds good! But the corps seems pretty intensive, it's a long time to be running around, even with the month breaks every half a year. Will you be able to get anything done during that break or will it largely just be a little vacation?

Vacation time. I would probably just use the money they give me to travel and see family and friends and then go back out. I might not go as long but if I do go for 4 years I can always get a really cool job through them as someone who sets up sights which means free travel EVERYWHERE and I only have to be in a place for a couple weeks at a time. So it's a good fall back plan.

Will you make very much in the corps? And vacation is always good ^^. Being always on the move sounds like it would be pretty stressful after a while. I tend to like to settle in somewhere.

I'm unsure about how much you make while there however I do know that after the end of every tour you get $6000 so you can restart your life in America. My plan is to save as much of that as I can and by the end of my 4 year term I should have enough to move out of the states. I don't like staying in one place all the time in fact it has taken all my will power to stick it out in Denver to finish school.

Aww thankies! Ya I wish I was good with traditional art also haha. I basically almost do nothing but digital work and playing piano/guitar these days. Except if I have to do art at school then it's "traditional" but they don't really give us enough time to make anything decent soo ya.

It's not the deadlines for me, being an Illustration major undergrad, well sometimes deadlines suck, but in class it's about self expression through art and such and I'm too formally trained to just scribble like everyone else does so I end up drawing little cartoons or something.. sooo I'm working on it.
