yes. there was a jellyfish incident. which makes me wonder exactly why im doing a project on them. but it was okay in spain, just too hot. it seems i cant deal with extremes of heat or cold. i say extremes, but i mean british summer and winter. i like spring and autumn. nice and cool.

anyway... we can just talk on here. it is by far my favourite site, so i can ignore myspace. anyway, im about to try and upload some more art!

Nothing? Hmmm... I'm gonna assume Windows XP...
When you plug it in, you need a software that you can use to scan. Photoshop works fine on this, as does GIMP (Free) and Google's Picasa (Free)

Each have different scanning methods but the general rule is:
File, Aquire / Get Image, From Scanner or Camera / TWAIN
TWAIN is a standard that means all scanners and cameras can talk to all Windows and Mac OSX computers.

Picasa [link] is a photo organiser. First time it's installed it scans your PC (The parts you ask it to) for photo's, where they can be organised and have basic effects put on (Soft focus, sharpen, black and white, tint, auto adjust etc)
Based more around the average user who just wants to see and quick fix their photo's. Minimum Computer Requirements can be found on the site.

GIMP [link] is paint on Steroids (Or Photoshop but made by artists for artists)
You can use it not only to aquire your scanner images, but also create new ones entirely from scratch. You can select brush sizes, dimensions, actions and every colour from over 1 billion.
Based more around artists who want to make their own photo's but there's no way in hell they're paying over £1000 for Photoshop.

Of the two, Picasa won't take as much of your PC to run I don't think.
