# About me
Aloha, I am a renegade, renaissance, Maui surfer poet who loves to think, experiment, and create radically outside the box. Born and raised in Hawaii, I currently live on the ocean at Maalaea Harbor on Maui.My photography has won local and national acclaim and been published internationally. The photos on this site come from my "Maui Tales" book. "Maui Tales" is a outrageous, non fiction Ebook of true tales and beautiful photos from my deviant life on Maui between 1972 and 1982. Check out my "mauitales.com" website for more info, press and photos.
While some of the photos on this site have been featured in magazines, coffee table books, newspapers, exhibited in art galleries, and won critical acclaim, They have not been widely printed or available outside of art galleries until now. My prices reflect the rare and unique nature of these images.
These photos were not originally created for the digital world, but to be printed and hung on walls. The original photos on this site were shot with 6x7cm or 35mm camera and scanned with a 10,000ppi film scanner. I suggest you print the largest size and use the best paper or canvas to bring out the incredible detail.
You can find examples of other press and work I've done at my "tdhawaii.com" website. I have worked professionally as a producer, director, writer, editor, and shooter on Oahu, Maui and in LA over the last 20 years. I am a webmaster with a 2006 BA in electronic media studies from the University of Hawaii. Manoa....enjoy

Mahalo, While some of my submissions may look like digital or photo manipulations, they are exact scans of the original transparencies. They are great examples of cutting edge old school film photography .
