It's gorgeous (and it makes me think of Dragon Ball Z ). How couldn't I?
Btw, I like your quote, Huis Clos is great

It's very weird - I read "Thank you" in my messages and "*knuddel* bedank dich doch nicht immer so oft" on my wall. Either deviantart or my computer is very messed up.
But back to the topic. That is a beautiful photograph you took of yourself, you have such a serene, pensive look on your face and the shot itself looks so professional it could be mistaken for a movie still. All your photos are nice portraits.

That was a beautiful shot. I attempted to take a shot like that last year and utterly failed in comparison to yours. Is there a certain aperture/shutter speed you used?
It's sweet of you to thank me, but you are a great photographer - you don't need support, keep doing what you do not matter what people say

I set the aperture to wide open and full zoom to get a good depth of field and then just exposed the photo to how I liked it, did a little in Photoshop, just a bit of levels and gave it a vignette.
As good as you think I am, I really dont have that many page views etc for the time I have actually been on dA. but oh well they are climbing slowly

No problem, that was a very interesting photo - you are a very talented black and white/sepia photographer, especially your architecture shots.
But you should really thank takemetoanotherplace, his deviantart is what referred me to yours.

No problem, it was a great poem about mindfulness and meditation.
And very wise if you're only fourteen; you chose some great words, I could never write something like that.

Aw, thank you so much!
But don't put yourself down! You're only 15! You have a whole bunch of time to be able to practice the wonderful art of articulation 8D

Thank you!
Haha, that's true, I'm not much older than you
I'm curious where did you get your inspiration from?
And I'm looking for a good book, so what kind of literature do you usually read?
Sorry for the inquisition... just curious

Oh my, no need to apologize, I love questions! 8D
Well, I read alot, one needs to, to get unbiased thinking, ya know?
But I'd suggest as a start for Alan Watts, he was an amazing man, I don't have much literature, but I do have a link to a majority of his lectures: [link]
But book wise, I'd suggest something like the Tao Te Ching, or 101 zen tales, or the Hagakure! esspecially if you're able to find the illistrated version, it's beautiful...
Anyways, I digress, I'm sure what you're into, fictional? poetry? philisophical? physcological? There's alot of books for all of them are quiet awesome that I've read, and I order all my books from amazon.com, you can ususally find really cheap books, like even for 0.01 cents! But S+H is usually in the 6 dollar range, and you have to have a paypal, OR just get a prepaid visa for 25, 50 or 100 depending on your price range.
If you have any further questions I'd love to try to answer them! ^^

Thank you, that was very helpful. But I am so surprised - are you sure you are fourteen? Or do you go to a school of intellectuals? These are books my dad reads, I do not know a single person my age with such good taste in literature.
I'd love to know any books you recommend in terms of philosophy. Philosophy is something that's always fascinated me, I know nothing about it, but it seems interesting. The only problem is I hope the books don't have ideas that are too abstract for me. Psychology too, I love to figure out the way people think. Thank you soooo much

Philosophy? Oh my, well theres an incredible spectrum of topics there, mainly divided into eastern (Asian) and western (Europe + Americas)
[link] There you basically get every single most notable philosopher since the begining of humans being able to think If you want works of a certain one, just ask me! ^^

yeah i have, and they are. try listening to her at her 16th b-day with songs she wrote herself. it sounds more raw, you'll be surprised at how different it is.

Hey I had a friend put up a poem that came to me in a dream a few days ago, here's the link [link]
Oh sorry for not posting anything on my youtube like I said I would, I'm having some serious Brain Block and cant figure out what i want to do with Minors.

mee-ra In reply to The-Brass-Section [2009-12-17 03:23:25 +0000 UTC]
It came in a dream?! That is amazing!!
There are so many memorable lines in that poem like "I saw your face,
then I lost this race" and "you let me taste ecstasy and now its impossible to live ". It's great your still writing
Thats fine about youtube, I havent had much time to check it out anyways because of exams. What exactly are you stuck on with the Minors?

Thanks.
I've been trying to find a way that doesnt really suck to get back from the strings to the chorus. I've tried so many different things but all of them seem to sound like crap in the end.

I listened to your minors again, and I'm assuming you mean something to cover up the pauses (~0:23-0:26 & 0:36-0:38). If that isn't what you're talking about, no point in reading the rest of my comment.
It sounds fine either way, and I'm not really entitled to give you advice on this - I know nothing of garageband manipulation (whatever program u use) or trumpets but if you wanna fill the pauses up, just put some kind of solo. From 0:23-0:26, you end in a drum solo, if you wanna fill the whole thing up, just make the solo longer. Once again, sorry for my musical inexperience, and my inability to help you.
