Firstly, before you read my bio, thank you for visiting my page, it means a lot to me. I'm afraid I don't have many works in my gallery right now, but after you check those out please check out the people I have featured in my journals. They are all amazing :)
My name is Molly and I'm a high school student with a lot of experience doodling, but not a lot of experience doing serious art. I am currently in an AP/IB art class at my high school, and I'm a junior. I visited my first two colleges this past summer. I hope to go to a university where I can get a BFA and a degree in English.
The biggest obstacle that I'm trying to get past in my art right now is my attention span. I don't have a very long one! I just can't focus long enough to finish a project.
What I am good at, but that I don't always enjoy, is being able to look at a photograph and draw it, either with pencil or digitally, like my ID. I don't always like drawing like this, because it often looks like a carbon copy of the photograph (the pitfalls of gridding and scaling), but I hope in the future to do more with varied palettes or incorporate the reference into a painting of something else (like a face into a fantasy image and so on).
My favorite art genre has to be surrealism. I went to a Salvador Dali museum in Barcelona and it was absolutely amazing! I've never tried to draw it myself, but it's something I love looking at :)
