well, Omar was drinking alcohol.
there is a story of him. he was in a village and some fanatics attacked him saying "you unbeliever, you drink alcohol" and they started to beat him. Omar said : "let me ask you one question you fanatics, don't you drink grape juice ?"
- yes, we do
-isn't it God that made the grape juice ?
- yes, he did
- isn't it god that made grape turn to wine ?
- yes, he was.
- so are you telling me that you beat me because I drink something that our god has created ?

in other hand, in fact, we are both wrong. it is not God that forbid alcohol. it was Mohammed that forbid the alcohol. he saw 2 men fighting and killing each others while they were drunk and said : I forbid the alcohol since it corrupts the mind and make people kill each others.

meanwhile, God does not forbid anything. he let people make a choice but tell them the consequences that they will have

the "wrong" point in my point of view is not that alcohol is causing people to be bad. that is also what Omar was believing (I guess). I have seen a lot of people that was not drinkin alcohol because is haram but doing bad things. but I have seen a lot of people that was drinking alcohol, but not doing bad things

in Saudi Arabia is in our curriculum, we studied 4 books
And all religious books. Interpretation of the Koran and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad,and Oneness of God and science Principles And we "study" these books from "childhood"
you are ignorant of matters of religion .you should educate yourself religiously
