I feel like I should say thanks for the llama but I never got a llama ... Why wasn't I given this mystical llama
Anyway I just wanted to say thanks for 2 of the poems you shared with me without further commenting on "destroy this poem" itself.
First off, I really liked bluebird I loved that it was bittersweet at the end and how powerful that one question was. Second I liked I am visited by an editor and a poet but it was too raw for my taste except for that one line about selling rhythm and life which was like a diamond in the rough.
... So, thanks. Again.

Hm. It says I already gave you a llama. And I'm incapable of giving you a new one.Β
Odd.Β
And yeah, Bukowski's like that. He was sort of a wandering drunk through most of his life,
and his motto for poetry was "don't try." I think that's even on his gravestone. And honestly,
it sometimes makes for some really rough, dull poems, but given how many poets are concernedΒ
about being a poet, and not what they say, it can sometimes be refreshing. Just a guy
that isn't trying to dazzle you with obscure images or archaic phrases, but just express a thought
that they're feeling as clearly as possible. Like they're really just sharing a thought with you.
I'd be sad if every poet was Bukowski, but so very few areΒ that I'm fine with him.Β
Glad you didn't mind my sharing it, though. I sort of bombarded you with links there.Β
So, you're welcome, and thanks for taking the time to read them.

I think it is entirely possible I have no idea what a llama is. For some reason I thought it was like some trademark you did when you found poetry that you liked. Like something in the comments.
And I was not at all offended I was just making fun of my own confusion. So now I am even more confused. Sorry for the confusion my own confusion has spawned ... (Ugh I'm confused.) and thanks for the llama I guess.π
Also "don't try" π that's precious, it was my pleasure to read all that I only wish I could have read it fasted and thanks for always replying.

Haha, nah. Llamas are actually pretty meaningless, except that they're kinda fun to collect.Β
If you go to someone's profile page and look next to +Watch, you'll see "give." If you click
the drop-down bar on "give," you'll see an option for giving a llama badge to that person.Β
It's completely free, and DA put it there for fun. If you get enough llama badges, the llama
icon on your profile changes.Β
Here's a link to the llama badge levels, attached to an explanation of the badges:Β giveallamagetallama.deviantartβ¦
Personally, I started giving them out to everyone who favorites my work. Sometimes, it gets tiring saying "thanks for the +fav, thanks for the +fav" all the time. Eventually, you find you're saying the same thing to everyone, and it feels devoid of meaning. So giving people a llama badge is a way to thank them that feels a bit more meaningful.Β
And no problem for always replying. I try to. And no time limit on when you read things by me. It's not like I'm assigning homework. Just figured I'd share something I liked with you that you can get to whenever.Β
