i'm a little bit confused on how the magic works - can we ask you if we want to make a magician ahead of time and then (if we get the go-ahead) just write it into the backstory?

also, the journals mention that hybrids usually have some sort of trait that distinguishes them as such! i'm planning on making a plant hybrid, so e.g. would a flower hybrid with some sort of ability connected to their flower be considered magic and therefore pushing that boundary, or would they just be a flower hybrid that happens to be special in that way? or would that have to be restricted to their weapon? ahhh i'm sorry i have a lot of questions, i like to do my research ;;;

Oookay let's see.

There this, we had a pre-offer, people who joined during the first rp round became our first potential victims tests of the magic ritual. During that time, it was enough to say wether you wanted magic or not and you could directly join the group as a macians Since the phase ended(it's also written on the page that we don't seek magicians anymore though OTL) we're not accepting magicians until April-May and you cannot have an magician character while joining anymore.
However, when the magic academy enrollments start, you can indeed ask for a magic ritual aka talk it out with an admin (me, if possible) and your character can become a magician midway. It is also possible to rp the event (experience will be given out for that) when the magic enrollments are open. The number will be limited again too though, just because there's a limit on how much an admin can do and there are enough things I need to meddle with ;;
So yeah long story short: Magicians Slots are closed, but will open around may probably and you can make your OC into a magician later on if you still wish to do so.

Tbh, we haven't workd this out properly since the interest in flower hybrids was so low for some reasons-- However, just asfish hybrids can breathe underwater and bird hybrids can fly, you can give a flower hybrid healing powers/poisoning powers if it fits to their natural trademarks. If a chamomille hybrid becomes toxic for no reasons ever...I wouldn't be able to relate to you OTL
It'd be the best if we keep contact and you just go ahead and ask me questons though, as i said, the plant hybrid chars are really not popular somehow so we couldn't get the chance to work out their info

it might be because they're difficult to design (totes not speaking from personal experience, nossir = 7 = ;; ) i was thinking opium poppy, larkspur, or rose, with the flowers manifesting physically from her body (like living tattoos?) and related abilities, but i'll go ahead and send you a quick note if you don't mind once i have some sort of design...
