Unfortunately, a lot of the denizens of this site don't really understand the difference between "critique," "asspats" and "trolling." (Or the concept of Google Image not being a stock resource.) Every once in a while, someone will thank me, or even ask me for a critique, which makes the hate mail worth it. Otherwise, you just have to remember that it's just idiots on the internet, and to turn off the computer and do something productive now and again.

Game animation really isn't my strong suit (my fancypants degree involved mostly traditional art), so I'm afraid I can't really offer much help. Your critique looked perfectly fair, but not as helpful as it might have been - you don't offer any technical analysis or suggestions as to what could be done to improve it. Unfortunately, I couldn't really do any of that either, so I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions to offer up. :\

I agree that people shouldn't ask for critiques if all they want is a pat on the back. I agree that art theft is wrong.
The only thing that confuses me is the fact that you even waste your time, perfect grammar, and turn of phrase on such juvenile crap? What does the picture not being a nude have to do with anything?
I made plenty of suggestions as to how to improve the photo. I suggested he play with lighting or post-processing techniques to achieve the effect that he was trying to achieve via poorly focusing on the model. I suggested he create a set to match the concept, rather than just a paint-splattered backdrop. I suggested changes that could be made to the costume itself. It's too bad he chose not to take any of them, but to simply start calling me names.
Perhaps you should ask him why he requested critique if he didn't want it. Alas, he already blocked me rather than continue to converse like a mature adult, so I suppose I will remain forever ignorant of his true motives.
