Hello Nicole, Pushy died some time ago, & I still can't get over it till now T.T
Sorry abt Koopa's condition, but I knew that feeling too. so much.very much. that you feel hopeless that all you can do is watching them slipping away.
I believed Pushy had internal infection, she stopped eating and slept all the time. Then eventually she grew weaker & one day she's just..gone. I did go to the vet & they prescribed me some antibiotics, one second Pushy was well & the other second she's not.
Guess I didn't try hard enough to save her? I don't know..

Even so, deep from the bottom of my heart, I hope & pray that Koopa will turn out ok. Does he sleep all the time too? Such fascinating creature, these turtles, aren't they..

He won't eat a thing. I used to force feed him and I still try, but he spits everything out now. That is what I am guessing is happening to my turtle. He probably has an internal infection or a calcium disease. All we can do is try. Unfortunately, there is always a high percentage of baby turtles that die off and there isn't anything we can do about it. I have saved three turtles in the past and am still trying with this little guy. When I ordered him online, he arrived in the mail from a location across the country. Inside the box with him, a receipt had the statement that is is illegal to sell a baby turtle that is under four inches big. Even with that statement, they sent me a one inch turtle. Because of his age/size, I believe the transport is ultimately what stressed him to the point of not eating - and then he got sick. Best wishes hun and thanks for the reply. It sucks to hear about your situation but its nice to know I'm not alone with these bad feelings.

Yeah dear, you are not alone. Use a syringe to force the food or antibiotics into his mouth if you have to.Don't stop believing, I do believe that if it isn't his time yet, he'll get better. But I do agree, there's always a high percentage of them die bcoz of calcium etc etc, so that sucks.
