ironically... I live in Alberta now.. got tired of the sunshine tax after more than a dozen years so came to Calgary for a bit of financial rest and relaxation. But.. most of my work was in Vancouver

I'll be in Vancouver late november/ early december.. no studio but ideas aplenty (I'm currently in Grande Prairie, AB.. home town of Kelowna BC on work 'furlough' for another three to five weeks)

Sorry I didn't touch base... prepping for Make It! for a couple weeks before we arrived and then it was whirlwind until we left- but it was an awesome show (we have a fledgling kids clothing company called "Splat and Co" that was a vendor @ Make It). But, I'll be back soon and I'll let you know with advance warning, as soon as I figure out when that will be.

thank you, sincerely.. it was a quiet day that will have a real "do over" in late October/ November as both my wife's birthday and mine were.. less than hoped for this year.. but with a very bright light at the end of the tunnel (that isn't a train).

welp, we bought a log house out here and just dug a new fire pit last week ;D one suburban acre of peace and seclusion. close enough to everything useful, far enough away to have some privacy. sorry for the late reply! i got a surgery in january and then started school in march. just been lazing around

haven't been to iowa yet, but we do have a meadery in this town that's worth a checkout if you do find yourself out here!

i feel like i have followed sparklefaerie somewhere. the name sounds highly familiar.

haven't had time for knitting in months, but i have a huge pile of projects and stashed bits taking over one of our spare rooms

No Sweat darlin' .. missed seeing you around. And wow.. the knit work is awesome (coming from the husband of a knitmistress.. THE sparklefaerie tho.. by all counts, I've only been knitted one sweater thus far from her.. hmm... well, the past 25 months or so have been spent knitting for Bean so that's consolation).

Omaha? Awesome. I spent a day there years ago.. tried to leave after arriving too late in the day from Grinnell, Iowa.. memories.. but, in all honesty.. you are still at the top of my list for A) a visit (where the visit part might involve beer/ cider/ talking/ campfires.. what not) and B) a photo shoot.
