Hmm we don't have prelims here, do you mind explaining to me what you have to do?
Here registration forms are due in..usually around January I believe and then in March (over a three day period during Sessions) there's a meet and greet, written test, oral recitation and then pageant night with the on the spot questions..

The Prelims are the pre-testing to show us what we're in for the following June (where we do all the same stuff as you)--it is also used as a tie-breaker should any girls score the same on the Written.

Hmm that's interesting. I know that they're thinking of having a Miss BCJD workshop this year, not necessairily for this year's contestants but anyone who's interested in future pageants..the prelims sound like a good idea is, although we only had 3 contestants last year so I don't know how well that would work out.

Just here and there, I have an older sister (she's Majority now) who ran before and she's been slowly running me through things to prepare me, I also have an adult who is going to give me some "Miss WAJD boot camp" training xD;; But I don't know when that'll be happening. What about you?

When I got back from sessions this year I approached a lady who'd offered to coach me whenever I decided to run, but I took June off for exams, so I've been studying on and off for a little while, and she's giving me homework while I'm in Europe. I've got this massive stack of Jobie related books in my room now, there's so much to learn before March!
That's really cool that your sister's ran before though, because now she knows what to expect and can let you know. Does Washington have any kind of Miss WAJD workshops to prepare everyone for the pageant, or is that what's happening in March?
