yeah, me and a group of friends who have similarly close birthdays went out and did an Escape the Room thing. It's set up like a mystery and you have to use clues to solve how to escape the room. It was great because no one person solved all the clues, we all helped to progress the mystery along. We ended up solving it and getting into the 1/5th of people who solved the puzzle! It was very satisfying and challenging. Then we all got dinner afterward and celebrated our victory. It was definitely radical dude!

oh yes i had a great time! I went trawling around with friends and saw Captain America 2 and just today got Cards Against Humanity and some new watercolor pencils from my girlfriend. She's the best!

Doesn't bother me too much. deviantArt is a private company and if we want to be a member, we gotta follow their rules. They set a high standard for proof (needing a link to a public confession of age by the person in question).
I don't think too many users outside of the admin will be trying to root out kids tho, unless the kids themselves are making a ruckus. I can't imagine what would make me want to report a child unless he was making a fuss (most of us online assume there's a jerky thirteen year old behind every online troll). Most kids who know how to act would probably have nothing to worry about.
Just remember Wheaton's Law (Don't be a dick), and like always if you're underaged, don't reveal your age to anyone.

Yes Deviantart is strict,however knowing how "safe" this website is cause of it's strict rules I can't help but to think this is "unfair" for the other Deviantart users who are underaged.
I mean serusly. Deviantart has TROLLS in their chatrooms 24/7, biteing off each others heads, without reason & what not?

The Chatroom apperd in like what 05? 06? They've neverd even tryed to do a thing about it.

But lets just say this underage rule of deviantart is to protect kids from preditors or whatever they can easyily "block" those kind of people.

Kids these days are alot smarter then they wore 10 or 20 years ago & it's scary. o_o

Well... Then again i'm not underage so why do I even care? "I has a rl pic to prove it"
The thing is...

I just feel like Deviantart is turning it's back on it's own veiwrs & fans.
This site has got to be at lest 10 years old.
Back when it first started alot of kids & teenagers at the time help made this site grow.

I don't know about you but personally I come to DA to excape all of that facebook chat sites & such.
Cause Deviantart gives me the feeling of "home" & I feel "save" here.

My account may not bee that old.
But i've been comeing here sence 03.
I was 13 at the time to.
& Even so even if deviantart keeps this age block thing on forever it wont prevent kids from comeing on to their site.
Besides Deviantart isn't knwon to be a site for predidors. If their should be a block on any site it should be facebook & that DS flipnote hentena cr@p.

Their's a better chance of finding predidors their cause kids use those sites the most.

I just... Ugh.. I don't know...

Mabe I`am just over reacting.
I can understand the "don't advertize" rule but still...
