Thanks for the Favs Olli!
I really appreciate your support! Especially coming from you!
I have loved your viper vector ever since I saw it the first time.
Did you use corel or illustrator?

Oh wow, I'm honored you know my works.
My vectors are all done in Photoshop because I'm too lazy to start learning a proper vector software.

Your works speak for themselves!
When I looked into what everyone on dA was doing for car vectors and yours was one of the most popular and I thought it was executed very well, so it stuck in my head!
Honestly tho, if you are fairly proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator is very similar! I use the two hand in hand. Most of my vectors are shirt designs so I am slightly more limited on colors and how I can blend them. Most of them are only 5 color jobs if not less. There is definitely more for me to learn tho!

Shirt design is one of the reasons I really should learn illustrator. The most recent one I made (the NCG shirt in my gallery) was done in Photoshop and it was a tricky case for the shirt shop I had it printed at onto shirts. There just aren't proper tools in Photoshop to reduce the colors efficiently (like dot rasters or the likes).

Exactly! My buddy prints all my shirts and he taught me the way he does it with spot colors and it makes life so much easier for him. Sometimes I get a lil crazy on the gradients tho and he has to add more colors. Like I said tho, Illustrator is the way to go for designs and it is really not too different than photoshop, you just have to respect your limits and think more outside the box. The ability to scale your design to any size is what totally trumps photoshop. There really are a lot of people that push the envelope of vector here on dA.
Couple tips for translating to shirts, transparencies don't work, and neither do gradient meshes...
btw, I think you NCG is pretty cool and would actually be pretty easy to do in vector.

Yeah it would be possible but there's still too many tones in there. It would need some work done to it to make the vector shapes look good with less colors.

True. gradients, halftones and even hatching can go a long way in stretching colors!
