You're very welcome
Thank you in return! I'm glad you like my photos. The only bad thing about living in a small place is ones pictures tend to look the same after a bit.
I hope you do! I it's fun seeing the world through others perspectives. Good luck to ya if you decide to do so!

Luckily in California there are a lot of places to go. I live only a little way from the Sequoias, and I really should go there more often. I love the city, but sometimes there's nothing better than being in the mountains.
I have pictures I've taken, but I'm not sure how great they are. They may never see the light of day.

Wow, you do live in a big city.. Sorry, living in a smallish community, places like California are huge to me.
I agree with you about the mountains! I LOVE the fact that I live at the base of one and that they are everywhere here at home. It's quiet up in them and there is plenty to see and the views are amazing!
You should give yourself a chance with your photos. Try posting a few and see what happens. You may not get comments like your drawings do, but you will get views from people. I was very surprised that anyone faved my photos or even watched my site. As with everything, it takes practice and most of all imagination. In my humble opinion, pictures are like drawings and stories.... they don't have to make sense to anyone else besides you. If other people don't get it.. who cares? As long as you're happy with how it turned out it all that matters.

I had some nice ones of the Grand Canyon from quite a few years ago, but I think they have that stupid date on them. Although some of the ones I take when I go to Disneyland every few months do occasionally turn out nice.
My city is kind of big, about 500,000 - but compare that to some other areas of California it's kind of tiny. And it's a hick town to some degree I must admit, but it's home.

You should be able to get rid of it before you upload it to your DA gallery... I do my editing in the Paint program that comes on your computer. It's nothing fancy at all but it allows me to at least crop my pictures a little. Anything beyond that and I'm lost... for the most part computers and I don't get along very well.
Yeah, you could fit where I live multiple times in your area alone... we have only about 31,000 people total where I live. In our own unique way I guess we could be called hicks... we are certainly different than the lower 48 states. And to quote Pumba... "Home is where your rump rests." I agree with that.

Then I may try and crop them. I've been to some places smaller than your place. Like some with less than 100. Hawaii kind of felt like small towns going through it, but I think it was they way it was set up and the city/town I was in. Sometimes I love going to small towns, getting an older vibe, but certain cities are great to visit like San Francisco.

Good luck with that and I hope they turn out for you.
Never been to Hawaii... Maybe some day. I know if you come up here, you will get a feel for old... a lot of our buildings are old and still look it as well.
I have a friend from San Francisco. She has told me a few stories of there but not many. Due to living on an island, I can't travel outta state with out it costing me an arm and leg to leave. When I hear stories/descriptions of other places, I try to soak as much of it in as I can.

Maybe one day you'll be able to travel. I've been to about 7 other states, but I'd love to see Europe. Don't know if I could live on an island though, unless you count Great Britain since there's so much around it.

It's not too bad... we're not scrunched too closely together which is nice. We're kind of spread out. There are plenty of hiking trails to go on and if you are lucky enough to own a boat, plenty of places to visit as well.
I hope to travel more than what I have... Maybe someday I'll have enough money to travel where I want to go. I have specific places in mind already.

I'm slow on technology, I don't even have a smartphone, and I'm hesitant to buy a tablet until I know the best one to buy. But I suppose since I want to do animation I'll have to get one soon. Might be awhile since I just put down the money to get a printer that actually scans.
I do a lot of traditional since I don't always want to carry my computer everywhere, and a sketchbook is easy to put in a bag. I also have bad depth perception and bad eyesight, so I have to hold my sketchbook at a certain angle to feel comfortable. Plus my friends who have tablets don't have the more expensive ones and I don't particularly like the way they're set up. I really have to do some research...

Neither can I...at least I should get photoshop so I can at least color a bit nicer. Or at least the colors don't get a bit lost in a scan.

And I don't have photoshop, just another free program, but I don't know if it would really fix the color issue.

That's what happened when I had a Gateway, but I have a high performance now and if it can run Sims 3, hopefully it should run a nice program and photoshop.
