Err, the numbers on it say "5,7-22,9mm". I have no idea what any of that means.

yeah, that's pretty wide. that'd explain all of your macros for sure. basically, the reference is around 35mm. if you look at a subject and then put a 35mm lens to your eye, it will look the same. any less than 35mm, you'll get more of your environment in a single frame. any higher and you will get less, which usually indicates your zoomed in. that's a really lose definition, but it's close enough
