dude you call that rushed?? sure the lines aren't 100% crsip and clean but i think the sketchy style looks nice, and compared to the usual chickenscratch sketches i see around (and am guilty of) that's pretty much a finished piece- and i mean dude you didn't even have to make a design in the first place, you could've just said "well yep those are the winners, thanks everyone else!" and left it there, you took the time & effort to make a whole 'nother design (and probably would've given it more time and effort if you'd remembered?) nobody's memory is perfect, everyone forgets things, and it's nothing to worry about!
also wdym "like"?? i love this design and will worship it til the end of my days. i wish i could draw a decent-looking humanoid without giving up because i'd doodle this guy 24/7 if i had the ability to, and i know i definitely will be doing so once i get more practice!!

ok!!!!! so!!!! Widgets are basically like, profile accessories. Though some require core membership, like Polls, Visitors, Custom, Forum, Shoutbox, Gallery Folder, Collection and Twitter. (You can't add those to your profile unless you have Core) i think i listed all the core widgets. idk
You can add and remove widgets as you please, and drag them mostly anywhere as long as it's in their topic range (ie, you can move the donate box anywhere but the art zone since it's not art. and, you can change which row it's in)
You can put as many widgets as you like onto your profile. Or you can have no widgets.

Uhh that's the basics of widgets. If you need help figuring out a specific one, I can also help with that.

I know uploading actual art would probably be a big help but I'm gonna save that for later on, I kind of just want to know how people make the sort of decorated-ish profiles I've seen around?

uhhhhhh idk 'bout the decorated part (my profile sucks ass, as you can see) but I guess just look around for page dividers, page dolls and stamps and such. if you want to put them in your profile, you can just scroll down on the drawing's page until you see thumb
and then a box with something like, :thumb775212912': without the ' of course
and copy/paste the :thumb___________: onto your profile.

You can put pictures and such on almost every widget. People mostly put them on the donation box, Featured Deviations and deviantID (+ occasionally the newest deviations widget)

ALSO!! Adding things to your widgets needs formatting!!!
(this is my featured deviation's formatting vv)


It's actually pretty simple and you can just search up how to add things. There are journals that can tell you the html and formatting, such as Using HTML on deviantART .

Also, if you want to add an image that isn't on deviantart, you can just type in

(replace https:/ /i.redd.it/0p9x9etc with the link of the image; it's gotta be one of the images you open in new tab)

To spice your profile up, you can also search for non-core page codes, some of which can be found here, www.deviantart.com/non-core-cu…
Just open the code link and copy/paste it onto your profile. 

And to embed videos to your profile, just look here, Embedding videos on your profile
