Seasonedi hold up a pencil
it dissolves into ash
and blows away in my hand
old pictures of false friends
now crinkled and faded
you only recognize the buildings
those voices trying to tear you down
because they feared losing at life
barely audible and distorted by static
the visions unwanted visions
buried in the haze of time
unformed shadows of their former selves
the pain once so sharp
but you managed to erase the edge
the blades blunted and numb
the past covered in white
but of neither snow nor frost
your tormentors frozen in salt
a gray rain rips through the city
like acid shredding swiss cheese
opening space for columns of sunlight
someone is sprinkling glitter
it falls everywhere it shouldnt
growing into tiny multicolored stars
