For those who know them - or wanna check - you'll notice they're all psycho in a way or another. Villains. OK, Max is harmless - he's an arrogant diva though... The few honest-ish ones still kill, but for duty, while the majority does for pleasure or power.
Hmmm... what does that say about me...

I appear to be losing weight again. This seems cyclic all of a sudden I drop lots of weight. So far almost 32 lbs doctors never seem to know why.

Thanks for the additions. Finally caught up on all the work I needed to get done last night. Downstairs is entirely the business, ready to renovate, fired the contractor and architect, hired a new contractor and architect, rehired the tile people, etc, etc. Haven't had the chance to get back to you until today.
So sorry!

sorry for not commenting, not in the best mood (again, very sick meoow + still no new abode for us + migraines etc = shitty week).
busy firing people must be tiresome. but it's important things are done your way and competently since you'll live & work there ^^

How many do you have? We have two and they don't get along! Hopefully the other will be back soon.

portisHeart In reply to Platycerium [2019-02-02 19:13:57 +0000 UTC]

well.. i had a demographic explosion in barely 1 year, due to my lack of brains + being totally overwhelmed + the promiscuity of my beloved little feline named after a fertility goddess - and i couldn't mister the strength to give them away. so, 2 have already left us due to sickness, 1 couldn't be born safely, 1 disappeared, and originally they were... ten times those you have now. all between 11 and 14 y.o.
they go along so well that they actually always all pile up in the one spot of the 70m2 flat/attic they pick for a while. atm, it's the mattress next to mine in this only heated room. all of them (as we moved in i only had 1 mattress = they all piled up on ME. nicely warm in winter) ^^
it's ruinous, we can't find decent places, and i live almost like a beggar. but i wouldn't trade a californian mansion with swimming pool, personnel and the works for them, no way in hell

That's quite a family to keep you company but I am concerned with your living conditions and hope your health isn't suffering. I remember a time in my youth when I had nothing but I was pretty resilient back then.

portisHeart In reply to Platycerium [2019-02-02 20:36:56 +0000 UTC]

my living conditions suck, and my psychological state has followed accordingly as well as my health. but soon it's gonna change - for the better or the worse. landlady died last summer, end of april or latest june we're outta here, house is about to be sold.
helpful friends haven't found a cheap buyable house yet. no clue how our life's gonna look like in 5 months
i was resilient 5 yrs ago, but too much crap has happened lately and taken its toll - this year needs to bring a favorable change once & for all!

portisHeart In reply to Platycerium [2019-02-02 21:38:31 +0000 UTC]

haven't for the last 2.5 yrs. with my combination of (not very harsh but frequent & varied) health issues, precarious living conditions & increasing depression, i couldn't hold a job for long any more, or meanwhile, even find one. maybe with a ton of luck the shittiest worst paid ones, of which i'd run away of after 1 day ~ anything decent, forget it. my last gig was as a french teacher in a women community center..
it would take a huge improvement in my life for me to get back on the saddle...

and i know how harsh the last part of my last comment sounds. i'm not a right wing asshat. in fact, i worked in night shelters, street kitchens etc for quite a while, and i did a lot of volunteer work with immigrants too (their status here is totally different than in the US). it's not that i think any minorities or peeps with issues should get less, not at all. i just don't appreciate that the welfare ignores people like me with many non-human flatmates...

Platycerium In reply to portisHeart [2019-02-02 23:48:11 +0000 UTC]

Actually, I didn't take it as harsh, a good day for some people is if they've combed their hair and eaten. I don't mind my taxes going to pay for social social programs.

portisHeart In reply to Platycerium [2019-02-03 00:44:46 +0000 UTC]

i never had much, still i enjoyed being helpful for pay or free, and seeing people who for whatever reasons had even less means (or more issues) feeling good/better. but since it went downwards on various levels in the past coupla' years, while most people's sympathy for my situation was always very thin, often way thinner than for many other "regular" social cases because i just don't fit in nor do my companions, i realized that i care less and less about other destitute or otherwise socially challenged people, which is sad. my main focus is how to manage with my chowder, keep us fed & lodged, and have minimal fun with 3d/asian stuff to avoid total depression - everything else has taken a back seat. i changed, and if i don't wanna reach the point of non-return and become a total misanthrope, things should really take off very soon...

portisHeart In reply to Platycerium [2019-02-02 22:37:42 +0000 UTC]

oh sure, how would i survive otherwise (and even afford the occasional 3d stuff instead of paying my bills, haha, which always ends up with me eating rice+noodles for weeks)... i'm past sickness benefits and unemployment compensation now.
but while the welfare doesn't mind supporting peeps creating all sorts of problems and/or breeding *loads of kids, including helping them find a flat, they never gave me 1ct for my felines nor can they change house owners' minds about accepting our chaos. means unless i give up my companions, which i'd rather die than do, i share my tiny 1-person budget with (now only) 16 cats, and i'm on my own as far as my search for lodging is concerned. if i was a lawless meth head with drinking issues, 5 abused kids and an IQ fitting under the carpet, i'd get decent help ~
