# About me
As a young pup, Ryan spent his days drawing and painting. In high school he realized he could make money doing what he loved, so he acquired a B.A. in graphic design from Illinois State University, with a year of study in the design program at North Carolina State University. He moved to fabulous Las Vegas, where he has immersed himself in the wonderful west coast world of design. His work can be seen on and off the Strip, among other less famous, but just as special, venues.The pieces you see here are created from a revolving mixed-medium process that utilizes both digital and traditional methods. First I find a good, lesser-viewed photo of the musician(s) to work from, then I simplify that image to black and white. I have different paint and texture patterns that are scanned in to be photoshopped and masked in with the photo. Then the pieces are printed, then painted on more, then scanned back in. This cycle continues until the piece is sold, so the pieces are always evolving.
Overall, itβs just a great fun thing to do on the side from graphic design and advertising. Iβm able to listen to all my favorite bands and musicians, and do the work while I rock out. I hope you like them!
